I saw him on a recent episode of Hoarders-filmed soon after his lung cancer diagnosis, with Ken & his husband there. It was devastating to see Bob living in such filth…whilst surrounded by his beautiful art. 💔
Copy of my comment that might interest you: Color of the Year in 2020 by Benjamin Moore, *"First Light"* a pleasing and comforting soft Pink. This appears to be "First Light" and works so well for this home. This man's Passion for the House and his journey relationship with the House has literally become what is and will be the greater focal point. It will be the History that will offer those in the future a most desirable reminiscence journey story. There will be the original building/ownership 20% and 80% will be his story with this property. It is truly an endearing journey and I'm hoping someone journals his 50 year evolution of restoration.
I find this lovely man more fascinating than his magnificent home!……if that’s possible! His home is absolutely stunning! His talents are unbelievably incredible. He seems so incredibly humble & so genuine. I love his tenacity. He is such an inspiration to all of us that love this era & are looking to preserve it. Thank you sir for your labor of love.
This man is awesome! He obviously didn't do this for money. He did it for the love of it and his art. That's the kind of person I want to buy old houses like this., Not just an opportunist "flipper", but a person who "digs" it.
@@jamesslick4790 Yes, but his massive filthy hoard (seen in the Hoarders episode) had me in actual tears. Ken, and his sweet husband, really tried to help Bob the very best they could.
best episode of hoarders everr!! I would sure pay money to tour this home, I was amazed by its art. Hope someday it does become a museum and tours are available.
What a wonderful, interesting man! He truly marches to the beat of his own drummer. Like all true artists, he’s a bit of a visionary - he looked at a room and just “saw” it and then created it! What a talent to have. I’m envious. I loved the bits we caught glimpses of and can’t wait for the video where we will see more of this marvelous house/work of art! With the tantalizing glances into rooms, close-ups of some of the decorative details and Mr Dielmann’s intriguing stories, you have certainly left us wanting more - of the house AND of Mr Dielmann. Both are treasures! Thank you, Ken, for showing us this lovely home and introducing us to its savior.
God bless this man and his amazing accomplishments to bring this house to its former glory. His pride of ownership and love for this house really shows. And he’s still not done yet. Amazing!! It was meant to be his. I love when people save these beautiful older homes.
His episode of Hoarders just aired. It was such a dichotomy to see the amazing artwork along with the 8,000 pounds of garbage they took away. He is such a talented artist! The ceilings, the paintings….wow! I hope one day soon he will complete the clean out and make his house museum dream a reality, but the choice is up to him.
He didn't. The obituaries you see on google are AI-generated and fake. They started popping up after his episode aired. Bob is still alive thankfully.@@jacqueline6926
So crazy! I watched that episode and was reading the comments here thinking, why has no one mentioned the mess. Then I watched the video and see how it was presented. Sad situation for that man
😆 GE this guy, his passion, his labors. It's not a house for me and I would have a very difficult time living in it, but that takes nothing away from this guy's masterful restoration. Bravo!
Beautiful house, so talented and lovely man. So so sad , that Robert recently passed away. I just hope so the family will honor his memory and will turn the house to museum
I cried so hard for Bob when I watched his episode on Hoarders. My hearts go out to him and I pray his dream for his house turning into a museum comes true.
What an endearing man. So talented. Fantastic painter I just love that he taught himself how to do things like the stained glass. I especially love the stained glass peacock.🥰👏🏼👏🏼
Fantastic, I recognized the gate. I passed it many times on my way to Deenil Mansion. I was a docent for five years. Your home is much more elaborate.. you have done a wonderful job.
This is so far the best story of a house on here. I love the fact that this house was saved by an actual artist, who bought it out of love and not just some "flipper". I can feel the love for this house. What an awesome dude. These "upper middle class" houses and their history are way more interesting to me than more famous places. And seeing one so lovingly worked on makes it even better!👍👍👍. I 💖 this one!
But Bob hoarded it, so much cannot be saved now. 😢 Watch the latest episode of Hoarders-Ken helps with the cleanup crew to rid Bob of most of the dangerous filth/feces and safety issues…but damage was done. Sadly, Bob suffered quietly in that amazing home. 💔

Astonishing. Mind-blowing. That this house once looked much like this, and he made it as close back as it was. Unbelievable. I will never forget this. I will never forget him. What a privilege to live in the same world as Mr. Dielmann.
Did you see him in the recent *Hoarders* episode, with Ken helping to clean it up for further restoration? Sadly, it’s not likely to become a museum until Bob has passed away…maybe. 💔
@@ThisHouse Hi There! Did a full tour ever happen? I've looked through your channel and couldn't find it. Robert Dielmann is my new husband's great uncle! I'd love to learn more about him and this house.
Did you seen its interior during the recent episode of Hoarders? 😳 Hopefully, after the massive cleaning it will be restored. The animal feces/urine have damaged much of the furniture and some of the flooring.
My sister and I are from the Kaiser family Our great grandmother was French and our great grandfather was German. I saw this show on the Hoarders program and saw at the end of the program notice the name of Kaiser on the brass plack on the front gate. I called my sister and we wanted to see the home. We went yesterday and to our sadness Mr Dielmann had passed in 2023 and the house is all locked up. If anyone knows who we could contact about the house my sister and I would so appreciate the help. Just watched this episode tonight and was completely charmed by this sweet man. His life was full of intense chapters that caused him to have a complete mental breakdown and succumb to very deep depression in which led to his hoarding issues. Such a kind and gentle man who has suffered deep emotional hurt and pain. The episode ends where he's able to live in the house much more safely now that he's had professionals help in disposing and reorganization many of the spaces. He was my neighbor for more than 25 years. The house and yard are gorgeous. He was a recluse for the most part. God bless him🙏

This is such an amazingly beautiful home. I especially love the colors, and incidentally, the owner is wearing the same colors.
