I’ve come to learn that in archery, there is a tiny difference between complete failure and success, and both will make your heart slam and leave you in awe. I have killed at least 20 whitetails with my bow and I get so tore up every time I get one as well as speechless when one gets away

After bow hunting for over 10 years, that situation with the buck is pretty normal. I have had it happen more than a couple of times! Keep going

Bow hunting is a game of inches and seconds big fella 😉
An inch too high, too low, too left, too right, ya dont get it!
A second too slow, too fast, ya don't get it!
But that's the game and why we love it 😉

That was extremely cool to see that deer up that close. I'm sure you'll find another with a better angle for the bow

I have had all sorts of crap happen while hunting , that’s why it’s called hunting and not shopping , keep at it your doing great , every trip is a new learning curve and if someone says they know it all ….. run your doing what we all do learn on the job

Khong I couldn't but help to notice that you shoot with all your l fingers below your arrow knock? You knocked the arrow because you have no finders on your arrow. There's less control on the arrow. I know a lot of target shooters shoot this way but not when hunting. Just some advise, no offense.

All good. Everyone has got their personal preference. The string was worn, didn't have a lot for the nock to stick to. I shoot string walking so all the fingers will be under with the right gap according to distance. Cheers.

Bow hunting is more fun. I started hunting with the bow before getting my firearms, and I still like to bow hunt.

No, this was a new area and it was my first time there, I revisited it this and I found 3 deer near a stream but spotted me before I could shoot. So it's a pretty good area to hunt

hope that proves to you , leave the bows and arrows to the cowboys and indians, had you had that old 303 you would have wild venision for the next month, you cold have jumped it and put a headlock on it rodeo styles. , did you track where it ran after that random shot, that close it might have gone right throgh, cheers anyways,

When you hit an animal with an arrow it makes a thud sound which I did not hear, I check and smell the arrow and it's a clear miss. I have a .270 rifle in the gun cabinet. The bow got something special about it, when I go in with a rifle I don't see anything, when I carry a bow in magic happens 😂 don't know how that works. Cheers
