Wow, I might just need to ask more questions on it. What are the cons? Is it better than Savannah?

@@LongLeggedOne I love it here. It has so much to offer. Shopping, dining, entertainment, including live music, dance and plays. The imperial Theatre puts on a gorgeous production of The Nutcracker every year. And there's lots of water if you're into that. You can go boating, swimming, skiing or tubing on Lake Thurmond. Same as the Savannah River. It really offers a lot.

@@jenniferrichardson8474 It all looks nice but as I was asking questions, people will talk how the politics and the judges, cops are corrupt, how big of an issue is that to most? and I find the people who complained about stuff like that, tended to have issues themselves at times. I knew someone who got banned from 2 towns in FL + had issues in another county. And I didnt want to stop in some of those places, but at the same time if I did, I wouldnt get banned. It has to be total lockdown if I did. Not covid lockdown but just tough as nails to go to a place like that, even to shop. Between speed traps, cops suspicious like u might not live in town.. that kinda stuff. Is Augusta that bad? someone mentioned this to me about cops and judges being so corrupt that he might wanna move to the country. Now the appeal to me is that its not Savannah and Atlanta. I dont think I could live in those tbh. Savannah seems like little New Orleans. Tight parking in a lot of places etc. I dont like that and huge crowds. Thats the stuff Im looking to leave.

Ok, I was born and raised here and, despite having lived in many other places in Georgia and other states, Augusta will always be home for me. Being from here I can honestly say that, like cities all over the U.S., it has it's beautiful places and it's disgusting places. This vid was amazing quality and captures a lot of the downtown Riverwalk area but Augusta is way bigger than that small amount showed here. The pace here is kinda in the middle, meaning there aren't horrific traffic jams or people being piled on top of each other because of limited living space and it isn't some middle of nowhere country town with 2 restaurants and 3 gas stations and one grocery store. People say it's a retirement town or just somewhere people just move here to work but, it's so much more than that. People here usually take the time to talk to each other when going into a store or restaurant and when someone is in need of help or something, we come together and do all we can to lend a hand. I'll admit that there isn't much to do activity wise since they've taken away so much of the fun things that used to be here, but Augusta is practically an hour or two away from all the places in Georgia that offer those things, and with North Augusta and Aiken area right across the bridge in S.C., there's plenty of access to more activities. It's almost exactly in between Atlanta and Savannah and there are also many places in South Carolina, like Myrtle Beach, Columbia, and Charleston, that aren't more than a couple hours away. So Augusta has the beneficial advantage of having access to many different places without driving 3-4 hours or more. All in all, Augusta should most definitely create more places for people who enjoy doing family activities and things like that but it is still an amazing place to visit or live despite the lack of those things. If u come here and think it's boring, you're mistaken. U just have to know people who know where the action is. Yes, Augusta can be a bit laid back and relaxed but, we don't have cops harassing and shooting innocent people just because of their race and, most people here tend to be less stressed out than the people in bigger cities, so it's all about your perspective really. I love it here, even though it can get boring, but thankfully I have a very creative mind so I know how to entertain myself. I enjoyed this vid and I would love for there to be more videos made that show all of Augusta's beautiful landscape if possible. Thanks for taking the time to create this because I honestly think Augusta is underrated at times. MUCH LOVE AND INFINITE BLESSINGS TO U MY FRIEND 💖 💖🙏 🙏✌ ✌

I am looking to start a new life some place. I cant be in the high cost states on the coasts, just cuz i live at home I been able to but I need a cheap place if I am to move out.

@@LongLeggedOne well I think I pretty much covered everything with what I said in my previous comment, however, if you're actually thinking about moving here and are worried about the cost, you can relax.. lol.. it's actually not expensive at all to live in Augusta, which is what makes so many people wanna stay.. we also have good hospitals and schools if u know what to look for..the best thing I could recommend for u to do is to do some research and then make a trip here for a couple of days to see how u feel being here.. thx so much for commenting and I hope everything works out for u dear one.. much love

Glad to see some positive "non-masters related" Augusta videos on TH-cam. However, I do have an issue with the misrepresentation of Hammonds Ferry. Your onscreen overlay says "Hammonds Ferry Augusta" starting around 2:21. Hammonds Ferry is located in North Augusta which is in South Carolina. Yes, it is in the local area but this can be confusing to folks visiting....Augusta is in Georgia and North Augusta is in South Carolina. Just food for thought, thanks for making a great video.

Im compelled to ask more questions to people about it.. What are cops like? a lot of them? is it better than Savannah? I saw some man doing videos in AL, and he seemed paranoid about people finding negative stuff being said in his Utube because people might gossip and he might get pulled over if the cops notice him. Does stuff like that go on in Augusta? Im just checking.
So far it looks like people love this place who grew up in it, but what about for someone new? I am in a high cost coastal state at this time, I will be needing to find a place soon and I will have to look out of state.

Great video and I totally agree with you....Augusta is so much more than just the Masters. It's so historic, lots of festivals here, the people are "down home" friendly and welcoming, various communities with old and newer homes, it's growing a lot here with Cyber Command and the medical district and the location is perfect....not too close to the coast but close enough. Thanks for making a great video!
