- Drag-On came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, where he opened up about being part of Ruff Ryders, growing up in the Bronx, and watching DMX’s rise to fame. During the interview, Drag-On spoke about being DMX’s hype-man, which led to him sharing stories about his time with the late rapper. He also detailed being in the movie “Cradle to the Grave,” and leaving Ruff Ryders in 2006 to start his own label, and then reuniting with Ruff Ryders for the reunion tour. It’s difficult to hear this, especially considering I came up through this era. The era where every rapper had a movie to give us (because social media wasn’t out yet) a deeper look into their “behind the music lives.” I remember having all of the RR CD’s. They really transformed their pain into masterful melodies that literally became street anthems. That's what most people think and we have the best and most expensive private school in the country Horace Mann amongst others and an area called Fieldston that has 15-20 million dollar mansions. The Bronx has it all from ghetto to rich with lots of working and middle class in between.
