There's no conformation that she paid Stranger's taxes, and rats are not exempt for taxes, so she's gonna have to get a 0/10 from me

I love how there's that "Objection!" sound when Prij is saying about charges that could be brought against Daughter and then right after he corrects himself, it makes it seem as if Edgeworth raised an objection about those charges and it was acknowledged xD

It was a really conveniently funny time for someone to gift a sub 😅

The fact that this assassin question came in the same time frame as the Matt Engarde case was amazing coincidence, considering Prij didn't know ahead of time.

New headcanon: Husband and Wife are actually Bob and Mary from the Herbal Concoction question, Son refused to rat out his mom because he was disgusted by the story of his father ratting out Dan and Amy for arson, and Stranger misidentified Sarah or Jane as a mistress, which is why Wife was opposed to him killing the alleged Mistress.

Also, the Jogger who broke into Attorney’s house with Robber ended up developing a habit of breaking into houses, so he broke into Wife’s house and tried the poisoned steak.

*Two weeks later in the Anytown, Ohio Funeral Home*
Priest: "Thank you all for coming. We are gathered today to remember and celebrate the life and legacy of Husband, a proud father to his two children, Son and REDACTED, and a...husband to REDACTED. Let us all take a moment to remember all of our fondest memories about him...Okay, now that we're all done, there are complimentary refreshments right in the back."

Wife learned after the first attempt that revenge is a dish best served cold

Would a good example for it counting as attempt even if it were impossible to succeed be:
Suppose the rat poison Wife had used were only toxic to rats, so even if Husband had eaten the steak there wouldn’t have been any ill effects. This makes it impossible for the attempt to succeed, but Wife would still be guilty of attempted homicide.
I think that’s the kind of thing Prij was getting at?

Rat poison is dangerous to rats because it comes with a separate emetic that usually induces vomiting in humans and forces them to expel the poison from their bodies before it can kill them, but rats are biologically incapable of vomiting so the poison stays in them and kills them despite the presence of the emetic.

Easiest example I can think of is for example thinking someone has a peanut allergy and removing their epipen and then feeding them peanuts. Except it turns out they have a seafood allergy not a peanut allergy. The act of feeding them peanuts wasn't ever going to kill them, but you thought it did and took actions to try and insure it did. Thus its still attempted murder.

How lucky is wife that the first random stranger she found was willing to commit murder for £5000

Ok but we do not know how overcooked that steak was and from the kids reactions and the fact he was cheating means we know he is a general bad person. Knowing all of this we can deduce that the steak was probably not that overcooked and he was just being a jerk. So it’s not fully wife’s cooking skills it’s that and her choice in men.
Also it’s 20.6k for a assassin at least in the uk (that’s converted to usd)

Not from a reliable source but I heard that in England the average price for a Gorman was 5000 pounds so maybe they got the number from that

So, I have a question about the daughter who bought the wire cutters. If she was buying the wire cutters so that she could show her mom how to use them, is that still showing complicity or conspiracy? "The task" is a bit ambiguous of a wording in the question part, and I don't think procurement counts if it's not a substantial step towards the crime? If the daughter had been overseas and talked to her mom over the phone when originally agreeing, then bought a plane ticket to visit her mom, but canceled it, is the plane ticket procurement? I think she at least has an argument here, even if it might fail in court.

The "work expense" part was great.
Is Wife also guilty of not taking husband to Mountain Overlook as she promised Son after having burned the steak dinner? Perhaps her negligence is why Husband needed a mistress...

Okay, so it seems like there's some bar exam questions that aren't in this playlist? Might or might not even have been uploaded as their own videos, I'll have to search your channel after I'm done watching these.

How would wife have been charged for the attempted murder via poisoning of a steak if she was the only one aware of that particular plan

It might be civil, but it seems like there's a contract breach due to the wife not paying the stranger. She comitted to the terms, he completed the work and she wouldn't pay.
I don't think she could get abandonment on the second murder because the act was done before she tried to abandon it, and she knowingly participated in creating the dangerous situation.
