Season Two - Episode Ten: "Over"
Episode Description:
When the Whites host a thank you party for their family and friends the fun almost gets ruined when Walt and Hank get into a heated argument. Meanwhile, in order to keep his mind occupied, Walt becomes immersed in home improvements leaving Skyler seeking the comfort of her friend and boss Ted.
Episode Overview:
Now that Walt has been given some hope by his oncologist, Skyler aims to get him to rest up before going back to work as she plans a party to celebrate the good news. While surprising Jesse with word that he’s still alive and then collecting his share of the proceeds from the sale of the meth they cooked during a marathon session that nearly killed them both, Walt makes it clear that he’s retiring from the drug trade once their current supply is sold. But at the party to celebrate his progress, Walt is upset by how much Walt Jr. looks to Hank for approval - and he ends up showing a very different side of himself. After getting his son drunk on tequila, Walt embarrasses himself and his family when he angrily rebuffs Hank. Meanwhile, although Jesse thinks there is something developing between him and Jane, he’s troubled by her cool attitude toward him when her father drops by unannounced.
Though Walt does his best to atone for his behavior, Skyler is in no mood to hear about it and hunkers down at work. Determined to prove his worth, especially now that he has some money from the drug sales, Walt spares no expense to replace the family’s aging water heater. And after apologizing to Walt Jr., he becomes obsessed with home improvement as he sets out to replace some rotting floorboards. Meanwhile, when Skyler realizes that the good news about Walt’s health hasn’t made her feel any better about their marriage, she seeks comfort from her boss, Ted Beneke.
Though Jesse makes clear his displeasure over the incident with her dad, Jane’s reaction upsets him even more. And once Jesse storms off in anger, it falls to Jane to craft an apology that will bring him back. Finally, while at the hardware store buying what he needs to finish the floor, Walt spots another shopper purchasing supplies to make a batch of meth. And after giving the young dealer some helpful advice, he confronts him and his partner in the parking lot with a stern warning to stay clear of his territory.

He was trying to help him, this is Walt the chemistry teacher but when he gets to the checkout, he turns into heisenberg and realises they were cooking in his territory and he follows them outside.

@@sonoftheway3528 Nonsense! Walter started off as a softspoken, downtrodden man--but his brains and ambition were always there. Maybe even a hint of ruthlessness and cruelty, based on how quickly he "broke bad". He broke Gretchen's heart, blackmailed Jesse to be his partner, and destroyed a man's car just because he was a cunt on Bluetooth. And these were before he so much as killed a person. But goofy? Heck no, never once.
That random guy doesn't seem to have anything going on upstairs, if you know what I mean. XD

I think they said that they falsified a lot of that info in order to keep from being too educational.
@@keithklassen5320 They didn't falsify anything, they just omitted key steps in the cooking process. Red phosphorus is actually only in the striker strips.
@@sheeshert It used to be in the matchheads themselves too tho, but it was phased out because put out matches liked to reignite when agitated (like in a trashbag).

Am I the only one that finds it odd that red phosphorus supposedly isn’t in the matches themselves but the striker strips?
In the late 1800s the phosphorus were moved to the strips as of the match head itself asa safety measure. This ensures the matchhead can only be struck when using the striker instead of a random surface, minimizing the chances of accidental ignition.
There are still some that have the phosphorus on the head, but only just a small patch so you need to strike it at a certain angle.
