Thanks for posting this. I knew when the forecast showed Helene sitting stationary over eastern Tennessee for 36 hours that it was going to be trouble. My heart goes out to the people affected in North Carolina and elsewhere. I hope you weren't one of them.

My family in South Georgia was only a few miles from the storm. A lot of damage from people I talked to. This is heartbreaking to see. Seeing the helicopter reminds me of seeing a story where some deputy mayor or something told this one guy he couldn't fly his helicopter to rescue people. He had already gotten a wife and left his co-pilot with the husband. He wasn't allowed to go back and get them. But someone else said that he could go and they'd have a landing spot for him. I guess he was allowed one trip because he just got his copilot. I guess they couldn't get the husband to squeeze in.
Brings back bad memories from 2015 when we had major floods here in eastern Australia 🇦🇺.
