It’s strawberry season in Maine, a time when the fields in Cape Elizabeth would normally be full of people out picking berries, but picking came to an abrupt end on Friday.
Two farms in Cape Elizabeth had to shut down their strawberry fields after an unexpected fruit fly infestation.
