I had a 2002 rl
I have a 2008 Acura RL platinum frost metallic. I bought it new and now have 173000 miles. i will drive it till I'm too old to drive. But what you failed to realize is the build quality on the rl is better and it has power tilt telescoping steering wheel which the tl don't have etc. the tl is nothing compared to the rl period
I have the same model year and color. It is understated elegance, but the exterior design still looks modern today. I love the flush b-pillar (first in the automotive history). The sloping dashboard and gauges are modern and fit and finish is high quality.

I have a 2010 acura RL sh-awd 3.7L, it has every package acura offered for that year, I got it for 10k with 60k miles on it, it's an awesome car, and I almost did not get it, and the sound system in it amazing, along with the power is great it is alot faster than i thought it was. I don't think I have ever seen another rl on the road like mine
ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF THAT GENERATION. IT'S AGED VERY WELL.
I bought the RL 06 last summer and I’m so lucky the previous owner took care of it so well. He gave me a list of all the Maintenance he ever did. This is the best first car I could’ve possibly imagined haha. As long as I keep maintaining it I should be able to prolong it as much as possible!!

Sleeper car by Acura. RL still looks good and EXTREMELY RELIABLE. I don't see a whole lot on the roads today. Nice to see your video 👌.

Great video. I have on 06 blue pearl. Best car I've ever owned. And I love the fact that you don't see Rl's every 5 minutes..like other Acura models. Just subscribed too!!
Great car, but bad marketing. For the price of a new RL, you could get an entry level BMW, or Mercedes. The other problem is that the luxury car buyers often want a V8 and rear wheel drive. The RL had front/all wheel drive and a 6 cylinder only. True as well, the TL offer much the same for afew thousand dollars cheaper. That said, I think the 2009-2010 looked the best. I wanted one but given my limited budget and poor fuel consumption, I opted for 2010 Honda Accord EX, 4 cylinder. The Accord looks pretty good and gets the job done.

Beautiful car. I love the TL's but if I had to choose I'd def get this body style RL. The 2009-12 design really was disappointing

Wow. Just found these videos and comments. I love my 2008 RL. Absolute elegance. I drove a 2020 TL for a week and was astounded that my RL still stood on it's on merits.

Just bought a 2010 with 87k miles and was wondering why I barely find support forum posts for it/parts compared to the TL/TSX
what you have there is a 2006 RL with PAX/CMBS package, the rear view camera is dealer optional install.
The SH-AWD in the RL is one of a kinda there is no other Acura in the line up has the feature of the unique belong to the RL.
The RL can be found used for cheap and it could be a bless and curse at the same time (have you ever looking into buying suspension part?) lol.

Have had my 06 tech pkg for over 9 years and still running strong just hit 202k just keep up with maintenance.

I have 2009. Love it to death. On highway or snow the car runs like water. Tons of power. Have same interior as yours. Any suggestion on left driver side arm rest is ripped due to constant resting of my left elbow? I call my Acura RL my 'BMW minus headache' :)))

Well, the emission is an O2 sensor, the other one not yet. I'll take it to the dealer and have it checked, pay another a grade Mec to get it fixed. I suggest to do same atm
Naheel Bhaloo I took my to dealer to look at it they couldn’t find out the problem they wanted 2 grand just to find out I told them no way did my research the rear drive is the problem

I’m eyeing a 2005 RL for $3k with 126000 miles. Seems to be meticulously maintained. Is it worth trading in my 2013 Honda Accord over? I mainly want the all wheel drive

just be prepared for expensive parts and shitty gas mileage, like really bad mileage in the city, no better than an SUV
@@KushPizzaSleep , on the contrary I use to own 05 RL. It was actually not that bad as you think. Combined, I use to hit numbers 21 to 23 MPG.

No after 2004, the ris had bad quality from engine to interior quality and so on. Before 2005 they were built like a beast all the way back to the acura legend. Don't get me wrong they look nice
