That straight line yard sale...wowzers...I'm no stranger to the face plant, no joke, it was a good thing I wear a helmet this year. Handful of jarring head strikes, front, and rear. Glad August was alright, especially when dealing with neck injuries.
Wow that was thrilling. I felt your heart going on that one Erich. Well done for pushing those boundaries. As for Mike - well what can I say, super fun to watch😊
Poor August but kudos to him for trying! My stomach was in my mouth watching you ski with Mike! I could feel your adrenalin through the camera lens. Crazy sick skiing!
😳 poor August!!! Nice skiing, Dad!!!!!! So kick butt!!!!! I had a fall on my trip in Colorado going hard and fast- broke a rib and bruised a lung, but I skied the last 3/4 of the way down. (Hard headed, I refused toboggan) ) Glad August is ok!!! Can’t wait til December when we hit the slopes again- without any breaks this time!!!! Love y’all!⛷❄️❤
So Great to see you stretch yourself. It gives your kiddos the encouragement to stretch themselves even as they get older, and that it never stops in what ever you do in life. WELL DONE.❤😊
just saw an old short, and thought it was some time ago since i last saw a video from you. spring time you say? guess its limited how many more skiing videos we will see
I'm at 43 now, and this year was the hardest steepest skiing I've ever done. No airplane turns or bombing into chutes yet, but progressing steadily to the point where I'm charging pistes that would have previously scared me off, getting a little more hungry and creative in the trees, and throwing the odd small kicker in there towards the end of the year. I'd love to get an insider tour of the resort with yourself, or Mike, too. I have the opposite problem than you, I must lose some lbs. Sad to see the year at Fernie almost at an end. Love the vids. 👍
@@ThatMountainLife I hear ya. Conditions make all the difference. And sometimes you don't know what they're going to be until you're standing there on top, looking down, your heart racing and questioning the choices you've made that put you in that position.
I’ve skied at Fernie a few times would love to hit that line what is it called on the map or if it’s more of a members only location how do I get there love the channel and enjoyed your tours of my home ski resort sunshine. If you ever catch a pow day at sunshine Hells Kitchen is the best run of you like steep powdery glades
I always say the biggest mistake when you are doing something a bit "tricky" when skiing is to think about it. The more you think the more you get scared. The answer is to trust in your ability and just do.
@@ThatMountainLife Another option? I don't do Instagram 😔. Snapchat? Email? My kids have Instagram, but they don't post anything - maybe I have them break the rules to reach you? I'm sure you're aware of Hokkaido ski resorts! Do you know about Hokkaido chocolate??? 😋 Extraordinary!
I audibly gasped at August. Glad he’s ok. I love the realness.
We keep it real over here! Thanks for the support as always!

Only a few more! It was hard to keep up at the end of March.
I love the 3,2,1 ah!
Oh, that was weak sauce. Mike had asked me to count down when I was gonna finally drop in. Turns out I think I was already moving when I started.

Oh my gosh I was soooo nervous ! I hope August is doing well. I had no Idea how u were gonna get down tht mountain ! Eeck.
This was excellent. I particularly enjoyed how you tackled challenging terrain and discussed how you were going to do it, as you were doing it.
Thanks Christopher. I had done that move/line before. But it was on a bigger snow year!
