@@matthewcheung5136 Thank you. I loved skiing Fernie! Super scenic, a great ski town atmosphere, and there was a shuttle service to the ski hill from the RV park we stayed in. Appreciate you watching and commenting!
This was fantastic! Watched it couple of times, taking notes as going there for the first time. Don't want to end up on some sketchy terrain. Take care and happy skiing!
Thank you. Have a great time! Beautiful scenery, and enough intermediate terrain across much of the mountain to be able to take it all in! Appreciate you watching and commenting.
@@RB-kr1ww Thank you. I loved everything about Fernie - the scenery, the terrain and the atmosphere! Awesome you are local and get to enjoy it often. Appreciate you watching and commenting. Sincerely, James Duke
I went to Fernie back in 09 for my first ski trip outside of Europe and it was absolutely epic. I'd love to go back one day - thanks for showing us around and bringing back some incredible memories for me!
Thank you for watching and commenting! Where do you like to ski in Europe? Last year we did Chamonix and Zermatt. We just got back from Kitzbuhel, Dolomiti SuperSki and SkiRama Dolomiti - we love the Alps!
@@JerzySmigielski-m5e fingers crossed the snow comes soon! Looks like the Dolomites are getting it next Saturday which is when we arrive in Arabba. Take care!
Thank you for your excellent video. I'm heading to Fernie this winter from New Zealand and am looking forward to it that much more because of your video. Very informative those slopes look amazing
I'm going again this year so I guess I'd say it's worth it. Great resort and area. Lots of good runs and if ya want to work for them there are some crazy runs too.
@@YouDecideIsItWorthIt thanks for the epic video. The only thing I would like is if there was an extended version with all the skiing but if it was me I would have a hard time filming with all of that going on. I'm lucky if I even take 3 or 4 pictures when I'm at the resorts. Lol
Thank you for the kind words about the video! Maybe someday I'll be good enough, and efficient enough with the cameras and editing the videos to include extended versions. For now, my main focus is to show all of the lifts, the terrain, and the scenery for people to decide if the resort is something they would enjoy (Is it worth it?). Every day I ski is worth it to me, but as I get older, I realize I will not get to ski even a fraction of the ski resorts in the world - so now, scenery and terrain is what I'm most seeking. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Beautifull .... when did you start skiing.??? ..as a professional too ?? Isn't it difficult to carve with a camera in one hand and two sticks in the other hand?? You're doing it perfectly!!!! greetings
I started snowboarding when I was 39. Switched to primarily skiing at age 45 - so this is my 12 year skiing. The insta360 X3 camera that I use for all the skiing and lift shots is pretty small and lightweight. It’s on an invisible selfie stick attached to one of the ski poles to counter balance the weight of the camera. Thank you for the positive comments on my carving! Always a work in progress. Have a good evening!
Nice video! Fernie looks like it would be a lot of fun!

This is a great introductory video for new skiers coming to Fernie. As a local, I forget how stunning the scenery is around here.

Great Great !!!!
Thank you! Hope all is well with you.
I think so - but at the age of 77 it's like that - sometimes like that. Problem: we have +14° C and no snow - I miss carving and skiing.

When you were there wasn't it insanely cold? I remember it be around -30C during that time in January. Yikes!
Yes- super cold for a while, I remember thinking it was feeling warmer when it reached -18 C during the afternoons.
