Amazing that with 20% downpayment and monthly payments of 2.500 to 3.000 you can get a mortgage with the portuguese banks with rates starting at 2.8%! Great video as usual!

Are there building maintenance fees, property taxes? If so how much?
The condominium fees were under €100 per month from what we remember being told. We could reach out to the owner if you're interested in getting an exact number. We can also ask about property taxes. Great and informative video! Quick question, what did y'all mean that your monthly payment was determined by age?
Hi @leighkelley6144 The age limit in Portugal is 75 (or 80) years. Example: Someone with 60 years old can have a 15 or 20 year term maximum.
Thank you. Mortgage terms (years) are determined by the age of the applicant. Most banks usually only lend up to 75 years old, but there are a few that go beyond that (up to 80). This means that if you're 40, you can get a 30 year mortgage. If you're 60, you can get a 15 year or maybe 20 year mortgage. Obviously, if your term is less, you'll pay more monthly. @@RonaldoBartl yes, and again, that depends on age and the bank. For example, when we got our mortgage, we did not have to get life insurance. - Josh
