Awesome tutorial. Long time issue that is unfortunately a painful workaround. One thing i have tried and is seemingly working...is instead of making the override material, is to switch from lit in the deferred render to Lighting only, which does the override for you. Have you tried this and found any issues with it?
This is a great tutorial on the render graph, but the post process material only renders when using JPG. When using EXR or PNG, everything renders fine except the post process pass, which renders blank. Do you have a tutorial on how to render out the shadow pass as a transparent PNG that is usable in an after effects composite without having to unmult or remove a rasterized jpeg alpha?
@@minyorrk In the Material Editor, select the Material. On the left in the details panel seach for Alpha. Enable Output Alpha. Your Material will get an Opacity Slot. Leave that at 1.0
Hello! Thanks for the tutorial. It was great. How can i only render shadows in shadow pass .Is there a way to exclude the objects that we applied M_GreyBall?
very good video, great tutorial. Could I make a video suggestion? I've been looking everywhere and trying to do it myself, but to no avail, could you make a tutorial to create a lowbitrate effect in the post process? (or jpeg compression) I imagine that you would accept the challenge because this is something very difficult and I noticed that you have a lot of experience
very good tutorial
thanks !

if you go into the PP Material and check "output alpha" and leave it to 1, you will get the same results with png and exr

Let me ponder this a bit. 🤔
@@renderbucket Thank you very much, another suggestion is a datamosh effect (very difficult)
This should give you some ideas to get started creating such effects. th-cam.com/video/xaRy0sTD4IQ/w-d-xo.html
