I put these on my 'wish list' about five years ago and received them for Father's Day. They started my journey of collecting quality tools. They feel good in the hand. They look cool hanging on the peg board. They are tough. Love them. The are 'specimen tools' -- use them, show them off, bequeath them to your children.

As a former carpenter, I love a wooden screwdriver. Reminds me of learning the trade from my friend who was then in his sixties and he had wooden handled screwdrivers. Now I'm in my sixties and if I could find a wooden bodied impact gun... that would be perfect. That being said, these are probably going to be found in my tool chest in the future. Beautiful tool.

I hear people like to sand that shinny coating off the handle and put some oil on it, for better grip. Kinda makes sense, I think, since the wood is coated with urethane there's never contact with wood but rather a form of plastic, and the wood is under there just for looks.

Ya it's not really like an epoxy or thick coating. It's a thin polyurethane coating. I have also hear of people sanding it and staining them different colors. Pretty cool idea.

Whoa, I never realized these had a connection to Bondhus?

Ya I'm not sure if either actually make drivers for the other but felo and bondhus partnered together for distribution rights in the US. Since felo is German and bondhus is usa. Not sure if they have technically like collaborated on a tool though

@@TonyTheTechnicianFelo makes screwdrivers for several brands. There is also a "private label" section on their website where partner companies can get in touch. I copied the description of the Hungarian distributor into the translator, I hope TH-cam doesn't delete it.

@@TonyTheTechnicianThe history of the factory begins in 1878, when the company was founded under the name "Hammermühle". Back then, the factory produced screwdrivers, pliers, hammers and other forged tools. The II. @@TonyTheTechnicianmy promised comment is only visible if you choose the option to be the newest. If it still doesn't work, here's a shorter version.

I like it but why do they have to print an ugly bar code on a nice wood handle?

Sandpaper the handle and then sorted. They are good but not better than many other quality tools. Buying a set saves much money. Buy separately and they cost too much. Many handle ends require lowering/sanding to ensue leather is not protruding far above metal tang.
