Yeah, it sounded like a professionally recorded sample of an actual opera singer that's already been EQ'd and reverbed appropriately. Not the kind of the thing that needs "fixing" with Soothe. Soothe is better for improving poorly recorded/EQ'd sounds that have harsh resonances.
This is irrelevant to this video, but damn dude. I just listened to your song Beam and I love how huge and reverby your drops are, they are so vibey. You are a huge inspiration for me getting better at future bass production. Keep doing what you're doing Aiden!
Good list. I'd like to also point out a good alternative to Infiltrator is CableGuys Shaper Box 3. They continuously make it better, recently adding in external sidechaining for all of their effects, so if you want any sound in your song to trigger an FX on itself, or something else, CableGuys Shaper Box 3 makes it pretty easy. NoiseShaper is a nice one to add texture to anything, be it a little crunch on a snare or something textural to a synth.
When you realize that their are so many free synths, live instrument emulations, and sound libraries that you could make up most of what’s in Komplete 14 Ultimate for free
Komplete plugins are overrated. The sound is not even high quality. Thats coming from someone who has invested in them in the past. Serum, omnisphere 2, eastwest, sylenth, and call it a day.
I would add Pigments 4 and Dune to this list, definitely my fav synths. Dunes ability to create new patches by using and blending already created patches is amazing. Pigments is fantastic for creating new patches using samples.
I just bought pigments! I’m not totally gmail with synthesis in general I kinda suck at it. But I really want to make some beefy sounds with pigments I just love the aesthetic and work flow with it…
@@pr4yTheProducer Pigments is great, you can export sounds from other synths and import it as a waveform, use the filters and effects like a sampler, while adding synth tones from pigments blending it. The interface makes it easy compared to other synths.
@@fearmonkey that’s what I have noticed so far about the interface , I remember seeing something about how it would kinda help you with sound design tips or provide sound design suggestions but I’m not seeing it do that 🤔
I subscribe to Komplete Now because I cant afford the full package, but it's reasonably priced and it's been a gamechanger for me. It happens to contain many of the instruments I would be naturally drawn to if I had a full komplete package. Feels like it was curated to suit my taste specifically. It's wonderful.
Komplete Ultimate is only worth it if you're into cinematic music, otherwise, you might spend a lot for sounds you won't use. It's better to wait for a 50% off sale in June or July and buy Standard
Great video but I would also add Melda Plugins to the list! They are absolute game changers and have a lot of niche tools for you to do just about anything! Melda Plugins I've found useful for Dubstep/Tearout and overall sound design MwaveshaperMB - Add saturation, distortion, high end to your synth and sound design. Basically gives you fine detail control over enhancing your waveforms. Mbassador - Add deep sub frequencies or low mid to mid Bass frequencies to any sound to fill out your low end when sound designing! MMultiAnalyzer - Let's you look at all the frequencies of your track and see find depth how they are clashing/sitting together. ^There are a ton more these are just a few that have been super helpful for me!

A good alternative to XO is Atlas 2. The file directory “galaxy” map doesn’t look as mind-blowing as XO’s but it’s the same thing. And Atlas has a better sequencer imo. 👍 Great list btw!
Sooth is not the only plugin that does resonance surpression. It's just the best looking I think. But soundwise I am not to sure whether it's the best at it's job.
@@mashupvital2400 try dseq 3 I think whether it sounds better is whether you like the sound more, but what I've heard it's even more flexible than soothe.
I have basically used same plugins over and over again. Serum is my favourite one. It basically has everything you might need for sound design and it's really simple to learn. I disagree with you on telling that serum is limited, it might not have 20 OSC and 100 filters, but it has just enough stuff to make incredible sounds. Multiband compressors like OTT should be basically in any plug-in list. Neoverb is a wonderful reeverb with many possibilities and options to create different reeverb effects. Crystalizer is an unusual way to use delay on a sound. Decapitator is pretty lit.
Yeah Serum is very powerful and you can make insane sounds in it. The thing is that making higher level complexity sounds is impossible on it due to mostly lack of more than 10 effects. It doesn't make it weak or useless, but there's a limit to what you can make in it
Great tips! i'm halfway there! i've been wanting to pick up komplete bundle for a while now. but i think i'm gonna use that to invest in a mac mini m2, because me working on a laptop with heavy cpu plugins are so fun... 😵💫 lol. i have soothe 2, analog lab v, serum, and fabfilter. btw, how do you get your videos so high quality? great stuff ✨

On the topic of a workhorse synth, I recently got Parawave Rapid which for me has a fantastic sound and workflow. Unlike Serum, Pigments or Vital it has all controls including effects on one screen, but it's still easy to navigate. Phaseplant was my main before, and I still use it because there's a few things that Rapid can't do, but for most things Rapid has a faster workflow, and I slightly prefer the general sound of it as well.
I only have komplete standard instead of ultimate which costs 600$ non sale price but goes on sale on big events like Christmas. It's definitely enough. No need for the ultimate edition in my opinion.
They essentially make the same sounds. There are other reasons for choosing one over the other though. e.g. Suppose you want to buy a particular preset pack and it's only available for Serum. If you're new to synthesis and aren't rolling in money, Vital could definitely be your weapon of choice. The people that say things like "Serum sounds better than Vital" are basically morons. They are both digital wavetable synths that convert ones and zeroes into waveforms. It's like saying "Macs sound better than PCs", which is ridiculous, obviously, since they are just different tools for making the same things.
@@SWEbear021 Guess it's just a taste thing. I tried Pigments, Massive X, Phase Plant & Vital side-by-side over a week and thought that Pigments was the least interesting to my ear.
