About the video:
Great thing about sound design is that you can pick any sound and turn it into so many different things simply by processing it.
This video will cover topics like:
1. How to process a simple saw-wave to make it have a personality
2. How to turn a white noise into a sick bass
3. We’re gonna make a little song out of these sounds to test their usability
4. And some more additional tips & tricks that will help you design better sounds

Was this process easy to understand or would you guys prefer if I explained things in more detail?
i kind of get it, but just came to say that you did a good job at the end also explaining your packs! keep it up and good luck, peace!
This video is the perfect length, any longer and I think it would drag on for too long. I was able to understand all that you were doing, and the video is superbly edited in a way that feels fun and easy to follow at the same time. Great job! 😎
imagine 04:34 is your car honk.
Thing that are more complex to replicate/understand could use more explanations
Please go into more detail, Thanks!
16:34 , sorry but omg, that legit must of been one of the best dubstep sounds for emotional dubstep i've ever heard
Or for color bass
need this preset ;3
I know that someone is going to ask "why do random sound design?" It's fun. If you're out of ideas and you don't want to frustrate yourself with getting a specific sound, just mess around with stuff like this.
People who say that are mental
As a 14 yo producer you are very helpful on my road to music production and your all of your songs are fire, it's also interesting how you make it look so easy😂
You're Lucky you're 14, you have enough time to perfect your skills before you reach 20. Most Producers get their career going in their late 20s but someone like you can perfect it now by 30 you'll be Einstein in Music.
@@tytheeblaiseR I hope so
keep going! the fact that you're already here looking at how to improve means you're very much on the right track. can't wait to see you billboard in the next 2 decades :)
@@violet-beckI just posted a song on my channel👀
I didnt start producing till I was 18. Im jelly!
Sir, you are one talented wizard !
You made me realize I've been overlooking sound design in the past 10 years, now I want to dive deep into it again! Thank you!
Sound design is such a creative process. You never know what you’re gonna get.
Two days ago, I spent several hours trying to sound design for one specific part of my drop, and as I continue to build layers, my computer crashed!
I have learned not to load the crashed version, which means I lost at least an hour of sound design. It was late at night, so I called it a day frustrated and went to sleep.
The next day I get up, I approach the same exact spot, and within minutes I stumble upon the perfect sound for the moment in my drop
One day was nothing but fails the next day I couldn’t fail if I tried
Sound engineering is an adventure on its own for those who are truly creative
F'n Insane! I Love It! Thanks for taking the time to post this process.... Hell YEA!
You bet!
your videos inspire me a lot, thank you for making them
I loved this man, insanely cool sounds!
Really awesome vid man! Cool to see how your sound design process goes :)) Some really awesome sounds you made in this video!! LOVE IT
Dude, your videos are really good! It's always nice to see how other people do sound design compared to me, and I've found out that we do it similar!
I also like to play with "random" effects or just put basic sounds to make them better with a ton of external effects.
Again, fire video 🔥
Great day when there's new Oversampled content.
thank for everything you do bro such an incredibly underrated channel!
Some of the best stuff I haven’t written was trying to find/create a sound for a track and stumble onto something and go hey woah, I like this , duplicate the project delete everything and just launch from the new idea. Always seems to flow better after that.
Bro finnally decided to bless us with a sound design video
love this format!
more plssss
it's a good day when oversampled uploads
Man, more videos!!!!
We demand more this type of videos!!!!
Your editing of your videos are super quality
For anyone wandering, the Dispercer is an all pass filter, it changes the phase between the the highs and lows
Is there a substitute for it bc I'm poor
I really also liked the smoothed sound before the distortion stages, as being Perfect for Psytrance style noise FX
Hell yeah Unison detune!! Really made it scream with resonance! Great video!
thanks! fun video as always
gorgeous
THIS IS PURE ART
dang thats crazy that this information is just here on the internet for free

oversampled = gamechanger
2:20 caught me off guard - love your humor
Nice!
great fun...I didn't even realise there was a keyboard for quickly pitching frequencies when comb filtering in Fabfilter...cheers
hell yeah
the core of this is what I'm so confused to not see more people doing honestly, like dude it can not be that hard to experiment a bit and throw on a few effects
I think it’s just daunting because of how many options there are for plugins and effects and so people have a hard time starting (me included)
The king is back,yes sir
The king is back 👑👑
You are a mad scientist 👨🔬
Wicked!
O hell yea! 😂
HOLY SOUNDS 😇 🙏
Hey you should do a video on how you think about adding reverb what type and if it’s single instances or trying to “glue” with a bus. I feel like that would be very helpful for this style music
crasi bro
lmfaoooooooo nice job bro
Love you, bro!
What audio interface do you use, and also what PC specs?
Sick content as always.
very cool tip in making your bass into kind of a chord by using eq
10/10
that pro tip on Q3 is super dope!!!
17:30 this guy made the regular show intro
What’s the plugin that goes over the top of everything at the bottom left? Showing the waveform?
This is sick! Love these sound design videos
im also wondering, have you found anything?
@@Chris-pr7qo no :(
@@Chris-pr7qostill no answer ??
@@krackmusik97224 nah man but I ended up finding this cool vectorscope/oscilloscope called "Signalizer". displays everything I need and customizable @mikelbresko9977
I think it's called "minimeters"? $10 atm. You can hear him say it in 2:10
Can you do a video on arrangement? Struggle.....would love to see your process in one place.
hey dude what's the spectrogram plugin you're using that's always displayed in the bottom left please ?
Aight, Color Bass time
Did you just pull a clean saw from vital and routed it in to a serum fx? 😂 Anywho, great animated and vibey stuff you got down. What is that goniometer? Looks way cool, and I like that it is fixed on your screen.
@Oversampled What for PC Specs you have?
You have so much loads in your chain, my CPU would be implode by that much usage.
I have an Old CPu and also specs from 2017, and i felt really limited in Music Making.
And Im saving money for a new one, but what to choose and how pricey.
bro be making the sickest song for a yt tutorial
Hooooooly ballz! 12:33
U Amazing
16:46 🔥🔥🔥
You should try incorporating actual atonal bass, don't have to go all in on it like they sometimes do in techno or film scores, but you've never heard a bass groove like ones consisting of tonal notes, kick drums and weird little low-pass noise bits. Easy way to start is to put them where you'd put a secondary kick etc., and you can play with their adsr/filter movement etc.
Usually keeping it simple and minimal will sound best, you also need a pretty precise EQ if you want resonances without having freqs next to it rubbing up on it and warbling it a lot, though that can be a cool effect, can also mix in sines etc. Also beware these sounds eat up your mix, so you wanna think about when and where you pull them out.
Hey does anyone know what that plugin at the bottom left corner was? So cool.
Idubbbz is BACK
Video was sick! What was the visualizer you were using??
Minimeters + Minimeters Server vst on the master
@@Oversampled👌🏿🙃💯
What's the stereo field visualiser thing that he's using?
Bigmeters I mean minimeters
@@Oversampled hey man thank you for replying 😁
hey man what stereo image and ocilliscope in the bottom corner are you using ?
I guess the cool part of this is you don't have to know real sound design, like what waves go together with what, or FM synthesis, or modulation or anything else really. You can just load up a wave and process it till it sounds good! :)
Ow my freakin ears 👂 😂😂
We need some sidechick Fl Studio ❤❤😂😂
Aye man this lowkey is random but who do you listen too for inspiration? I would be interesting to see what ur style developed from my friend. Keep up the fantastic videos. Just downloaded some free unique plugins to throw in my arsenal 😏 prisma and multi flux 2 are insane
Thanks! Mainly to this: open.spotify.com/playlist/4fsdMiCS8NyiX1deXCrJhh?si=fdef50b75d4c48aa a ton of Virtual Riot, Zomboy, Skrillex too, mainly the dubstep scene
Have you ever used Razor by NI? Only thing I have that really sounds like this and I don't use it nearly enough.
plz do a video trying out Objekt reason rack! saw another creator do one and i think u would be super creative with it
The real skill is in making the sound you have in your head. just making any random sound a bit better is nice, but will only take your compositions so far
What plugin do you have in the lower left corner that visualizes the track?
Minimeters
19:08 sounds like (The Prodigy - Firestarter) in the begining
I am wondering are there free alternative plugins for disperser?
Diopser by NIH plug. It's basically a perfect clone of disperser
What is the visualiser you are using?
Dude me cats are freaking out
wtf is that spectrum visualizer ... looks crazy
@Oversampled what is that visualizer in the bottom corner? Where can I get it?
2:10 ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
i just made a railgun sound effect today
i love sound design
i just put crap together lol
