This video is the perfect length, any longer and I think it would drag on for too long. I was able to understand all that you were doing, and the video is superbly edited in a way that feels fun and easy to follow at the same time. Great job! 😎
Sound design is such a creative process. You never know what you’re gonna get. Two days ago, I spent several hours trying to sound design for one specific part of my drop, and as I continue to build layers, my computer crashed! I have learned not to load the crashed version, which means I lost at least an hour of sound design. It was late at night, so I called it a day frustrated and went to sleep. The next day I get up, I approach the same exact spot, and within minutes I stumble upon the perfect sound for the moment in my drop One day was nothing but fails the next day I couldn’t fail if I tried Sound engineering is an adventure on its own for those who are truly creative
Sir, you are one talented wizard ! You made me realize I've been overlooking sound design in the past 10 years, now I want to dive deep into it again! Thank you!
I know that someone is going to ask "why do random sound design?" It's fun. If you're out of ideas and you don't want to frustrate yourself with getting a specific sound, just mess around with stuff like this.
As a 14 yo producer you are very helpful on my road to music production and your all of your songs are fire, it's also interesting how you make it look so easy😂
You're Lucky you're 14, you have enough time to perfect your skills before you reach 20. Most Producers get their career going in their late 20s but someone like you can perfect it now by 30 you'll be Einstein in Music.
keep going! the fact that you're already here looking at how to improve means you're very much on the right track. can't wait to see you billboard in the next 2 decades :)
Some of the best stuff I haven’t written was trying to find/create a sound for a track and stumble onto something and go hey woah, I like this , duplicate the project delete everything and just launch from the new idea. Always seems to flow better after that.
Dude, your videos are really good! It's always nice to see how other people do sound design compared to me, and I've found out that we do it similar! I also like to play with "random" effects or just put basic sounds to make them better with a ton of external effects. Again, fire video 🔥
the core of this is what I'm so confused to not see more people doing honestly, like dude it can not be that hard to experiment a bit and throw on a few effects
@@krackmusik97224 nah man but I ended up finding this cool vectorscope/oscilloscope called "Signalizer". displays everything I need and customizable @mikelbresko9977
The real skill is in making the sound you have in your head. just making any random sound a bit better is nice, but will only take your compositions so far
Hey you should do a video on how you think about adding reverb what type and if it’s single instances or trying to “glue” with a bus. I feel like that would be very helpful for this style music
You should try incorporating actual atonal bass, don't have to go all in on it like they sometimes do in techno or film scores, but you've never heard a bass groove like ones consisting of tonal notes, kick drums and weird little low-pass noise bits. Easy way to start is to put them where you'd put a secondary kick etc., and you can play with their adsr/filter movement etc. Usually keeping it simple and minimal will sound best, you also need a pretty precise EQ if you want resonances without having freqs next to it rubbing up on it and warbling it a lot, though that can be a cool effect, can also mix in sines etc. Also beware these sounds eat up your mix, so you wanna think about when and where you pull them out.
@Oversampled What for PC Specs you have? You have so much loads in your chain, my CPU would be implode by that much usage. I have an Old CPu and also specs from 2017, and i felt really limited in Music Making. And Im saving money for a new one, but what to choose and how pricey.
I guess the cool part of this is you don't have to know real sound design, like what waves go together with what, or FM synthesis, or modulation or anything else really. You can just load up a wave and process it till it sounds good! :)
Did you just pull a clean saw from vital and routed it in to a serum fx? 😂 Anywho, great animated and vibey stuff you got down. What is that goniometer? Looks way cool, and I like that it is fixed on your screen.
Aye man this lowkey is random but who do you listen too for inspiration? I would be interesting to see what ur style developed from my friend. Keep up the fantastic videos. Just downloaded some free unique plugins to throw in my arsenal 😏 prisma and multi flux 2 are insane
Thanks! Mainly to this: open.spotify.com/playlist/4fsdMiCS8NyiX1deXCrJhh?si=fdef50b75d4c48aa a ton of Virtual Riot, Zomboy, Skrillex too, mainly the dubstep scene
Was this process easy to understand or would you guys prefer if I explained things in more detail?
i kind of get it, but just came to say that you did a good job at the end also explaining your packs! keep it up and good luck, peace!

imagine 04:34 is your car honk.
Thing that are more complex to replicate/understand could use more explanations
Please go into more detail, Thanks!
16:34 , sorry but omg, that legit must of been one of the best dubstep sounds for emotional dubstep i've ever heard
Or for color bass
need this preset ;3

For anyone wandering, the Dispercer is an all pass filter, it changes the phase between the the highs and lows
Is there a substitute for it bc I'm poor
2:20 caught me off guard - love your humor

I really also liked the smoothed sound before the distortion stages, as being Perfect for Psytrance style noise FX
the core of this is what I'm so confused to not see more people doing honestly, like dude it can not be that hard to experiment a bit and throw on a few effects
I think it’s just daunting because of how many options there are for plugins and effects and so people have a hard time starting (me included)
great fun...I didn't even realise there was a keyboard for quickly pitching frequencies when comb filtering in Fabfilter...cheers
Hell yeah Unison detune!! Really made it scream with resonance! Great video!
