Wow that was some great guitar playing! Playing my all time favorite guitar and playing some tunes from two of my favorite bands Van Halen and Scorpions!
Another great video from NRG ! I have a Has '58 Explorer copy and I built an Explorer too. I love the shape and the versatility of these guitars. They play jazz and blues as well as rockin it.....thanks Lemmo
I owned an Explorer once and I regret selling it. It felt like an SG in that when I with it the neck felt too long. But standing it was perfect and it had such a great tone. Really regret selling that thing.
Almost sold mine. I was mulling it over and got a decent offer on it before Reverb became an established site. I was set to trade it when my husband reminded me that I’d had the thing for over 20 years at the time and why would I sell it now. I was planning on selling it and paying extra to get a Les Paul Custom. The Custom never materialized and I’m still happy with my Explorer. It helps that the LPC was a mortgage. Ouch!
Like the old korinas, the tone is lively punches out at you with clarity. Special guitar. Looks like a premium piece of korina practically, its harder to get larger guitar body bits. Hearing Metallica you can hearit's the sound they built the band on, heavy defined. A great recreation.theCat...
That question has come up. The Fender twin is the workhorse for the shop and has such a great sound. They actually mentioned the other day about how many guitars they have sold after people had heard it through that amp, so they know they really don't need anything else
@@richardcaruso002 Good point. I wasn't thinking about it from a store owner point of view. However, they may have been able to say the exact same thing with Lemmo playing through one of the amps I mentioned or something similar. I'm sure he would be able to EQ it properly for the tone to more closely match that of the original song. Maybe it's just a limitation of the recording. Nonetheless, Michael is a helluva a guitar player!
The first two songs needed to be EQed differently through the Super Reverb. It’s an amp that makes Fender guitars sound heavenly and pairs well with P90s, but Explorer PAFs tend to sound nasal through them unless you spend time adjusting it. I use a Super Reverb and an Explorer, but I usually kick on a Boss Graphic Equalizer when I’m playing it.
The other host was way better. He was all about the guitars and we got to hear different tones. Instead of this "I can just walk into Guitar Center" to hear someone jam.
Lemmo rocking like a Hurricane 🌀With one 👁 eye open...it really got me..
That ones got the MOJO FO SHO

Wow !!!!
Awesome, Lemmo.
Here for the Lemmo Demo, LFG!!!
Lemmo went to town wow 🎸🎸🎸👍🏻
Dude, I gotta get one now. Good point about playing comfort compared to the Flying V.
Great.
Love the blk guard,,,,ibz chose this for the RRSR. Thankful one is here.
Whenever I see a Gibson Explorer I immediately think The Edge his signature guitar.
I was thinking that to…
That sounded Great!!!
Michael Lenker 🤘🏼

Scorpions🤘🔥
Oooouuuu, bending those strings!
What year were these made?
I am buying one similar. They are for the new metalheads.
Think Michael blew my phone speaker. Scorpions, Metallica, and Van Halen. Jeez. Poor Jen.
👍
Is this one of the ones from a year ago?
Monsters of Rock. 1989 Candlestick Park. Dokken, Metallica, Scorpions, and Van Halen.
Eventually I will own an explorer-style guitar
Why doesn't Michael ever play through a more hard rock/metal centric amp? Like a Marshall, Soldano, Mesa, etc..??

Maybe, but on this evidence, does he really need anything else?
@@chrisdrake447 No, he evidently does not.
I’d love to see somebody with way too much money chop one of these up like the EVH Shark and do a before and after tone test.
I didn't know the explorer went that far back...
🥳🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
👍✌❤😎
um, um, um, um, um, Lol😂. Guitar playing is um great!!!!
It’s Tele Tues..........except for the Tele part.🎸🤔
Play something off of love drive from another schenker

Maybe a bit less EVH would be nice
Ha ha ha
Sounds terrible for a rock sound
