I don't have, nor do I think I'll ever be able to have the awesome gear I see featured here, but damn if everytime I watch these videos I get inspired to pick my guitar up. Love these!
Lovely, unique instrument(great close-up on that ABR-1), amplification and player that makes the most of its Gibson tonalities. I turned six years of age in '65 and am sixty-four today. Marvelous!
Incredible tonal range, one of the best sounding 335s I've heard on GOtD. Lemmo's unique compositions are always a delight and with the added bigsby and ditto makes for a unique listening experience, thank you Jen for bringing it to us, Norm for hosting. Brilliant, amazing vintage Gibson craftsmanship.
I love block inlay ES-335s. I always pictured myself getting a red one but man that blonde is beautiful! I may have to be on the lookout if Gibson does a run of this spec!
My chin hurts. It just hit my chest big time 😲what a stunning guitar I hate not having a fat bank balance that to my mind is as close to my perfect guitar as it gets. I’m generally into a les Paul but man that’s a peach 👌🏼
Whenever I see a blond 335 I remember how I foolishly didn't buy one in Montreal in the early 70's. The guy I knew in the music store was trying to persuade me to buy it for $500. It must have been a 59 or 60. The color was a bit faded and it had rusty strings. So I brought in my 59 330 to compare. Mine looked better and sounded better, but I didn't know to change the strings, and the difference between a 330 and a 335. The only consolation is that I still have the beautiful 59 330, and I bought a blonde flame maple 335 which is great. It's all good. Live and learn, and don't cry Iverson spilled milk, and be happy with what you have and not what you could have had. Thanks Lemmo, Jen , and Norm. BTW can someone please buy this guitar for me? I would really be thankful.
How I would love to get my hands on this guitar. It wouldn’t live under a bed though. I would play it every gig I get Me thinking of sell so much gear to get this 🤔
That’s an incredible 335! Of course, Michael makes it sound great. What was the song you played with the two-pickuo setting? It’s very melodic. Is it a Lemmo original?
I had to move the bridge on my 2006 Gibson ES-335 White Diamond Custom Shop guitar to make it play in tune. And that wasn't the only issue! We had to go through a couple of bridges before we finally stopped the high and low E strings from slipping off the fingerboard! Eventually my guitar tech had to re-fret the guitar . . That was the only way to stop the strings from slipping off while playing! And I used 11s all through my long professional career, and also from years before as a semi-pro guitarist. For strings of that thickness and tension to keep slipping off the neck, you knew there was a serious problem. I bought the first White Diamond guitar in Australia and was probably the second-highest profile guitarist in the world who had one. The guitarist in The Scissor Sisters also played one on the video for their only hit in this country at least. That guitar was perfect in every way. But the second one had remained unsold for two years, and the Gibson distributor wanted it gone, and so Gibson offered it to me for three grand, just to get rid of it. It was that guitar which had all those problems. Once Matt Bryant, my excellent guitar tech, and I had worked out all the kinks in it, that guitar was practically fool-proof and bulletproof. Trouble was, I have unfeasibly huge hands for a short guy, with short thick fingers coming from a thickly muscled hand, from decades of Powerlifting. The neck was the typical unplayable skinny Gibson neck profile from the 1960s. Totally unsuitable for me, that was for sure! So I sold it for what I'd paid for it. The first one I bought had a lovely thick neck. That model had a mahogany center block, and I don't know if that was solely responsible for the incredible roar the guitar produced through the dirty channel of every Marshall amp I owned, but believe me, I wouldn't have it any other way! I sold that guitar back in 2021 to a guy who could barely play, which was heartbreaking for me, especially since he soon after the sale, invited me to join his band on lead guitar, and I had to watch it being played so badly every band practice . . but I needed the money and he paid cash for it without haggling, so . . . .
You can see the wiring harness through the bottom f-hole. This is unacceptable (and possibly a sign of further issues). Other than the fact that the guy's a decent player and I am not, the guitar doesn't sound any better than my Epiphone Dot. And you could cut back on the reverb quite a bit.
Sounds like Norm's giving us some double talk about that nut width, not wanting to call it narrow. Too bad, because it is a total deal breaker if that nut isn't one of the wide ones.
It's really hard to stop listening to this playing.
Man...
Michael, your sound is absolutely astonishing every time.
Keep up the good work, I wish I had 1% of your talent.
YEAH! You gotta keep Mike. He demos the guitars like no other!
Ya DO NOT see many 335s done in that color - ever. Just so sweet!
Very cool! Glad to see Norm so often lately😀
I've not listened in for a while. I forgot how bloody good you are Michael. Great tones, beautiful guitar but it won't play itself..
I don't have, nor do I think I'll ever be able to have the awesome gear I see featured here, but damn if everytime I watch these videos I get inspired to pick my guitar up. Love these!
335s are the best Gibsons and Michael makes them talk!
Is Michael Lemmo a rockstar, because he should be! ✌️
Lovely, unique instrument(great close-up on that ABR-1), amplification and player that makes the most of its Gibson tonalities. I turned six years of age in '65 and am sixty-four today. Marvelous!
WOW Lemmo, Blew me away!

Lemmowas just 🔥 here.
That was brilliantly done.
The tune played on both pickups is amazing
Awesome 335! thanks Norm, Lemmo and of course Jen!!!!!!
Reminds me a bit of my Guild Starfire III in maple. Gorgeous
That was awesome, great set, I could have listened for hours.
Awesome set Lemmo! Beautiful guitar and guitar work! Great video Jen! Love Guitar of the Day!

That`s a beauty.
This guitar is fantastic WOW
What a genuinely beautiful jam from Mike there, wow
There's Norm, glad he's back.
I love block inlay ES-335s. I always pictured myself getting a red one but man that blonde is beautiful! I may have to be on the lookout if Gibson does a run of this spec!
I’d love to see them do that!
Haunted is my favorite Lemmo tune. It’s the one he jammed on the bridge pickup. Great stuff Mikey!
Sounds like a dream.🙂🎸
Lemmo, you touch my soul. Thank you
Nice tone. Sweet guitar and nicely played.
👏👏👏👏
Superb. You’re a great player
Love the way it opens up on the bridge pickup with that little extra string pressure. Great playing.
Sweet sounds from that neck pickup
My chin hurts.
It just hit my chest big time 😲what a stunning guitar I hate not having a fat bank balance that to my mind is as close to my perfect guitar as it gets.
I’m generally into a les Paul but man that’s a peach 👌🏼
Tomo needs this one.
was really nice to see all the photos of the before this video, would be really cool to see more of the processes that go into it
Such excellent playing and a beautiful guitar!

Superb guitar. Amazing playing.

A delightful guitar

Unusual guitar
Sounds delightful
Be nice to see the super reverb settings, just my 2cents
Very beautiful guitar. Great playing, too
Great set Lemmo.. Nice, youngblood..
yay LOVE WACKKKKYYYY WENDNESDAY
Lemmo the Looper 😁
Great sounds out of that ES - some Fender’ish.
The song at 5:00 is sooo damn good. does it have a name?
Anyone know the song name at 5:08 ? Sounds beautiful
It’s a Michael lemmo special😉🫡
He plays the same song in this video th-cam.com/video/WQro40Xy8Vs/w-d-xo.html
How I would love to get my hands on this guitar. It wouldn’t live under a bed though. I would play it every gig I get
Me thinking of sell so much gear to get this 🤔
I wonder are the 64 to 65 necks for ES guitars similar to the SG necks?
What is the song that plays second?
Lemmo has the ultimate memory and ear for all tunes!
Lemme and a guitar... that's all you need!
Lot’s of nickel! I betcha ,though, that the price on this one will be many, many nickels!🎸
That’s an incredible 335! Of course, Michael makes it sound great. What was the song you played with the two-pickuo setting? It’s very melodic. Is it a Lemmo original?
Does the varitone do something? U didn’t seem to use it?
Cool guitar.. 1" 5/8? @ the nut???
Only person i seen play an exact guitar like that was Johnny Jones who beat jimi hendrix in a dual and played with Bobby blue bland 76 to 79
Lemmo seems to sound best with semi hollow guitars, always makes me want one.
Mike will need 20 minutes on this video to demo all the tones.🎸👍
Whats the name of the song at 7:30? Anybody?
👌👌😎
Nice guitar Norm! How much $$ you asking for it?
Whats the name of the song at 7:30?!?!
If you can’t figure that one out are you even a true guitar enthusiast? It’s “And I love her” The Beatles
@@nickgates4387 are you a guitar enthusiast or a Beatles fan? That’s not “and i love her”. And nice try trying to gatekeep music lol
@@sebastianchara551 if you’re not going to name the song then I don’t wanna hear it bum
@@nickgates4387 you didn’t name the song either smart stuff
Wacky Mike and wacky Norm......um......Wednesday’s.🎸
❤️✌️
What is the tune he's playing when he sits down? Sounds like Ed Sheeran lol but its probably a famous song?
K a little of the varitone

👍🏻👍🏻✌❤😎👍🏻👍🏻
Love the guitar but again, in all your demos you use too much reverb.
60k? Anyone know?
Looper and pedal pro
Nice playing Lemmo, it seems you bought all the armchair experts out today 😊
U have a lot of different tones to showcase....with that varitone
are you playing victim or giver?🙈☁️❤
Lets change the name waffle back tuners to George Forman Grill backs.
Seems like a bit much bass tone so far
Euer verhallter Sound hört sich immer gleich schlecht an.
WACKY LEMMO? 2 months ago you called him >>> "DIZZY LEMMO"
You can see the wiring harness through the bottom f-hole. This is unacceptable (and possibly a sign of further issues). Other than the fact that the guy's a decent player and I am not, the guitar doesn't sound any better than my Epiphone Dot. And you could cut back on the reverb quite a bit.
So salty 😂
Stop muffling the freaking strings.
Smooth Lemmo, real smooth
Had an interest in buying this. But the playing demo, drowned in reverb. I wanted to hear THE GUITAR. I'll keep looking.
