My personal theory is that they were going to advertise the Brinewater and Umami reworks but decided against it for some reason, either due to not having the graphics complete for it, not wanting to show TOO many, or some other reason (like maybe it'd look bad if all three of the initial new stages post launch were all reworked)
I love that splatoon devs listened to the fans and adressed most of the issues. I feel like splatoon 3 is almost a perfect game, but the only problem always was the stage design, now that they fixed so many of the stages the game is so much better.
@@flopps1051 fr, how is it fair to fight with inkjet against crab tank? not only inkjet doesn't get any shield unlike crab or booyah, but also it's much harder to hit sm with it unlike w trizooka or other previously mentioned specials
Thank you for this video! It was hard to find videos that described all the changes made, and going into recon for every stage was a hassle. I'm glad they are addressing their terrible stage designs, although they all still feel kinda bad to play.

This might actually be one of the best seasons we've had since Splatoon 3 launched. Splatoon 3's maps up until now sucked because of how underdeveloped they felt, it's like something was missing. This update has made these maps feel more closer to being fully realised than they've ever been for the past 1.5 years. And the kits they've introduced this season are far more impressive compared to previous seasons even if there weren't that many second kits to develop. Is this update perfect, definitely not, not all maps were updated to satisfactory levels, and don't even get me started on that balance patch (they literally addressed anything but pencil and zooka), but the maps that had potential now get to show off that potential more. This update also beings with it quality to life changes such as the conch clash which means mirror matches aren't as egregious. Sadly I think these long overdue improvements to Splatoon 3's pvp came far too late. A lot of these reworks should've been done sooner, I'm afraid many of us had dropped the game after having to deal with so much crap. It's a shame that they failed to strike while the iron was hot.
I think more than anything Hammerhead was kinda in a hands tied spot, most of the changes were to the zones and turf layout, and that didn't apply to the TC, RM and Clams shared layout aside from the spawn improvements (which still make a difference tbf). It's the problem that Undertow and Mahi faced with their reworks, as they also have significant changes in certain mode layouts that probably detracted from what they could’ve done with reworks. Though either way it's crazy that they did all that for Umami and Brinewater, like Brinewater is mostly similar with some asset additions from Tricolour tbf, but Umami got a straight up unnanounced rework and it caught me well off guard.
I'm excited for what they do for the mid-season rework (if they do it since they did two at the start of the season this time around). All the stages except Eeltail are playable now, so the next stage they rework might turn it into a god stage
Can't believe umami wasnt called a full rework by the devs considering they literally fixed the biggest issue with the map
you mean *wasn't?

The other issue of course are the kits but that's a separate topic for another day.
I think a lot of the kits are fun, it's mostly just the balance like things getting cursed with reefslider and ultra stamp

I also have been playing slosher recently because of you thank you Gus
I never liked museum so the changes are very welcome to me. I'm glad they put more cover in. The top of the spinner isnt such a death zone anymore

any idea why they feel bad to you?

honestly barnacle is definitely the biggest winner of the stage reworks it’s makes it my favorite evening more
on eeltail alley the turf war mode got way better because you can contest the bridge from the middle on either side.
This. I'm a turf war player, and that small change makes the map far better, as now you have a new route onto the bridge

The turf war version of eltale is actually better than the ranked version you can actually jump on the bridge
