Near Reedy Creek for this one Rick. Till great gold in that area. Doing another trip to the triangle soon though, need to deliver the 500 odd meters of core samples to the other mine owner. Hopefully get the time for a swing while we're over there!
Thanks GoP! Still a few chilly nights here (down to 2⁰ last night), but hasn't dropped below zero for a few weeks now. Weather is finally looking great again. Soon it will be too hot again haha 😁
it is not clear, that is, there is no comment, so I will duplicate it: I wonder how far it is to the water from this place, you can also put a high-pressure (fire) motor pump to lay °%@@TheGoldmansChannel
Did me some detecting today and got me some shiney. You know Nevada doesn't have much water. Prospecting can be one of those things that will test your metal without having the convenience of water to wash with. Yes i know there are dry washers. Dry being the key word in that entire toolscape. If the material is to wet you lose gold and plug up the mats. If the material is dry and everything is in a perfect world you still lose gold but the mats are fine. A good detector is a good solution to hit the missed gold. That is unless you are a dummy like myself and leave the charger cord at the house MILES AWAY from the honey hole 😂
Sweet baby Jesus thats not a nugget. That a damn Volkswagen bug buried in the clay! Happy him is he say i got shiney today! I feel the force is strong with this one. Rock 👊 on brother.
Just a rant today. If I watch one more abandoned gold mine explore video today ..... It's like watching the Lord of the rings movies cause all they do is walk and talk the entire time. I'd give my enitre years salary to be in some of these mineralized gold mines with a bucket and shovel picking up all the stuff they walk over. Look at these timber sets😮 no look at all that gold who cares about the lumber square sets 😂 Hey do you know anything bout the Equinox 800 detector? I bought one but it didn't come with an owners manual or a box but they knocked off $150 so I bought it. Tomorrow is moving day and look out warm sunshine here we come! Custer South Dakota all the way to Henderson Nevada. Have a great day!
@mrgreenswelding2853 You do! I found great gold deep lead mining and detecting in Clermont a few years back. Palmer is dynamite also! Get out there MrGreen, plenty of gold for all of us 😁
The knuckles are the biggest issue. They flog out very quickly, so we ALWAYS tape up the knuckle so it's rigid and can't be twisted side to side. They only need to be adjusted vertically as you're going. The telescopic shaft also flogs out very quickly, so we tape over the cam locks and the shaft below each cam lock before use also. Keep an eye out for cracks on the top cover plate and general top area of the coil also, some recent batches of coils have been poorly constructed and are prone to cracking. This renders the detector useless under water. Extreme care should be taken under water also, as minelab only install a basic rubber grommet inside the coil where the cable enters. Some work fine forever, some leak after a few hours of use in the water, some fail quicker! If your detector suddenly becomes hypersensitive to everything around it, you've almost certainly had water enter the coil.
I was wondering, when you find a nugget like that, isn't it worth to take a bucket of the dirt where you found the nugget back to your wash plant and to run it through your sluice or to pan it just to see if there is more gold in that dirt?
I've tested this theory! The answer is, it depends on the type of nugget deposit. In my experience, it's typically a no. I've taken my trommel out and run 10 bucket samples from multiple nugget hot spots I've found in the past. A spot that revealed a 10g nugget, only revealed a few specs out of 250kg of dirt! It had me stumped to say the least, but so far no, I haven't had any luck with dirt from the same hole good nuggets have come from
I do have another couple of detecting vids on my channel if they're any help to you? What else would you like to know about them? We don't get much time for detecting, unfortunately. Hopefully that changes before long.
Well done..... Love when those lead targets turn to gold 👍🤓✌️
Outstanding
Nice little nugget Bryan. Up at the Golden Triangle no doubt. Good to see you have some success.

A beautiful piece of gold! And the weather is great, and we have minus one Celsius, the season is over...

Nice work!
Are you in Victoria?
Sure am mate! Covering most of the state in our travels. Planning on spending the winters in WA before long if all goes well.
@@TheGoldmansChannel I wish we had gold like you do, up here in QLD

Sdc2300 goes good and that was an awesome nugget gotta be happy with that, i think i need to purchase 1 myself now😅
The SDC are a great little machine, there are a few design flaws, but there's no doubt that are a beast on the small gold.
@@TheGoldmansChannel could you let me know what to look out for plz mate cheers for the replies

My pleasure Dylan. Beautiful nugget you've got in your display pic there too, by the way!

Would you do a short video about detectors?
