This seems like one of those dishes that's great right off the stove, and then it seems like it might even be a little better the next day when those flavors get a chance to meld together even more. Love something like this that's so simple and SO good.
I moved from CA to TX over 30yrs ago and moved in on Easter weekend with no power, water or other essentials. The neighbors all came to welcome me, brought food, strung electric cords so I could make coffee, and taught me about being a good person! This NEVER happened in California... Didn't even know most of my neighbors. Texas is filled with kind and giving people.
It was beautiful here this morning also. I am very close to the Gulf of Mexico so we have blistering heat here. If you look up Anahuac that’s where I am. But it was nice today. I absolutely love your cooking this is the way I grew up and love garden vegetables. Yummy. My daddy had huge gardens. He also had a shrimp boat as a hobby on the weekends he was going to shrimping. Yummmmmy.
@@floierobinson2300. YESSSSS. 2 thanksgivings ago my daughter was cooking with a scarf around her neck and it caught fire……!!! Luckily she got it unwrapped and in the sink. I was watching it all unfold and in shock…….. I just realized it’s a potholder around her neck…..still be careful.

I'm also a bowl eater and I have to have my small folks..I don't like big large forks...lol...I just pile everything in my bowl and if it gets mixed up oh well...that's even better...great looking dish...gonna have to try this..
I can understand small forks and plates in my case. I eat from a salad sized plate because I don't eat that much at once, I can always go back for more. I also use a seafood fork to eat with, don't care for large amounts of food in my mouth.
The storm was horrible and not everyone made it. Thankfully we have a small generator this time for our fridge and fans. We have no idea when power will be back up. Trees on houses, twisted on power lines. It's a mess.. God bless you Talli Faye ❤❤
You look like a nice lady, but why do you cook the pasta first ??? The pasta is dead once you finish your sauce. The pasta FINISHES IN THE SAUCE !!! I cannot repeat this enough. THE PASTA FINISHES IN THE SAUCE !!!. You can't cook the pasta and let it just sit there waiting for the sauce to be ready. Also why did you not start with the onions? It seems to me you have made pasta with boiled onions instead of fried onions.

In our house we do both. I cut back on the beef a little, add a can of drained pinto beans or chili beans and a can of the vacuum packed Mexi-corn.
