I'm a Texas guy that loves to cook and bake and usually go out searching the web for new ideas on cooking and baking dishes. I came across you channel today and absolutely loved it. I love your grit and down to earth attitude and your candid personality and talk, very refreshing. Thanks from Texas and I will be one of many waiting for other videos you post in the future. Blessings to you and yours.
I just found your channel day before yesterday. I was streaming your videos yesterday and my husband walked in. He sat down and watched with me. He finally said "I like her". I told him I did too because you don't act all high and mighty. You're just in there cookin'. Today, we sat down to lunch and when we finished we went to the living room and Jimmy said "Put that woman on". I knew he was talking about you, so here we sit, watchin' Talli Faye cook. I'm so glad we found you. You will be a main source of ideas for good meals. We live in North Florida, about 40 miles east of Tallahassee. Can't wait for the next one...God Bless!

Talli Faye I just love watching you! 😂 Much love & blessings to you! I'll be watching! Thank you so much for allowing us to visit with you in your kitchen.
I made it and made a couple of adjustments according to your comments. I was worried about sweetness also so I used caramel chips and then poured out half of the can of sweetened condensed milk and filled it back up with heavy cream mixing good before adding. Turned out great, let it cool completely and it was delicious. So rich.
For those w. Diabetes make an apricot pie , need a crust. Just cut up a bag of apricots diced small put in pot & cover w. Water. Simmer until the fruit is mushed tender watch close add water if needed , just a little, once its soft mash up add a little corn starch to thicken. & bake .no sugar needed the fruit is sweet enough. Bakes @ 350 for 30 min.
That pie does look appealing once baked. Thanks for testing this one out. Sometimes, unless you make something yourself, it is hard to tell what you are going to end up with or whether you are going to like it, especially with something that has mixed reviews. Thanks for all the tips. This pie sounds like a pie someone made up in his head, putting things together he liked not out of a test kitchen. It does sound like an expensive one to make.
A glass of cold milk or a cup of hot pecan coffee with this pie……mmmm! Being a diabetic I would never eat this pie but sure wish I could convert it to sugar free. How awesome this looks! Thank you for sharing with us. This is my first time visiting your channel. Round O, SC
I just watched you for the first time today and I enjoyed you! I just saw an ad for Salted Carmel Cracker Bites. Seems to me you'd be able to use those instead of the pretzels and Carmel bits. Just a thought!!
I made this trash pie about a week ago and my husband loved it,me being a diabetic it was too sweet.Thank you for your input. Happy a good day and a blessed day.😊❤
I’m glad I went on and tried it!.. Turns out we all loved it 😊… Now, my sister is diabetic as well and I told her to not even walk by and smell this thang!🤣🤣… Thanks for being in the kitchen with me!.. Blessings 😊♥️😊
Found your channel this morning and love your down to earth commentary. The pie looks delicious. I think the added course salt would be wonderful. Gonna have to try it. You have yourself a great day. 😊
First time seeing your videos. Im going to have to give this a try. And those bowls, my mom had the same ones when i was a kid. I saw them and it was like a flashback to Saturday morning eating cereal, cold winter mornings eating oatmeal, occasionally a bowl of ice cream after dinner. Good memories.
I love your channel! I have watched several of your videos and I like your down home style. Reminds me of my childhood living on a ranch in south eastern Utah. I have made your spaghetti garden salad which is on my keeper list to make again. This Texas Trash Pie looks delicious. Thank you for your videos.
Just tuned in for the first time this morning. You are enjoyable to watch as you handle the issue of some people saying the pie was too hard. Maybe those folks should cut the whole pie while it is still warm, just like you did. There, another problem solved! You are a great cook and once I get another kitchen to cook in, I plan to give this recipe a whirl…..and will cut it while it is still warm and YUMMY! Thanks for sharing! 😋
Brach's caramels are waaaaaaay better than Kraft. Kraft uses soy in their caramels and they don't melt as well or taste as good! We liked your idea of using Toffee bits.
Talli Faye when you said "You gotta have good teeth" I laughed until it hurt!😂 I'm so glad I found your channel! I made your Baked Chili Dogs recipe yesterday and they were delicious! I plan to try many more of your recipes! Thank you so much!

TalliFaye, I've never heard of this pie before. I've made those 7 Layer Bars & found them very sweet, so I don't think I will make this pie. This week I made an Applesauce pie, which turned out great. You have a very blessed day tomorrow 🌈💛🙏💛🌈
I understand that!… It’s definitely sweet!… Not as much as I thought it would be ( I think because I sprinkled that kosher salt on top 😊)… But it’s a rich dessert no doubt 😊♥️
I like the Heath bar bits even better, First time seeing you. Watching from Fairbanks Alaska. We get a lot of Texans up here. I have always wanted to visit your state. I got hooked watching Dallas, remember J.R.? I have never heard of this Trash pie before. Looks good.
I make these in the squares. We call it Seven Layer Doolittle. You actually make each ingredient in layers. I use the Caramel. They are delicious and not too sweet. They are addictive.
Toast your pecans after toasting place in a mason jar with some vanilla bean and bourbon put the lid on and infuse at room temperature for 7 days .And than make ya pie 🙂
@@sandrahenson1843 One cup of pecans with 1 750ml bottle bourbon two table spoon vanilla or some vanilla bean infuse for seven days . You can also add in spices
I have never heard of this pie. It does look good! I would like to try it but with the following changes: 1. Like you, I would leave out the caramel and use the toffee (Heath bar bits) 2. Leave out the broken graham crackers and add an extra cup of broken pretzels. 3. I would eliminate half the sweetened condensed milk and replace that with 7 oz of homemade clotted cream. 4. Instead of adding Kosher salt to the top, I would add a few pinches of flaked salt. Hopefully, these changes would significantly decrease the sweetness of the pie without affecting the texture.
Hi Talli Faye!! Greetings from Durham NC!! I just found your channel yesterday and love you already!! Your remind me of my family! Lol. Your recipes pulled me in but your personality will keep me here. 😂 Your recipes (especially the chicken and dumplings 😋🤤) reminds me of the food I grew up on and also cooked for my own children. I will be sharing your channel with my youngest daughter (she's 24) so she can continue to learn how to cook because she moved all the way up to Ohio. She's not near me anymore so I can continue to teach her cooking skills but I feel like she could learn a lot from you & your videos. Also, just a word regarding the sweetness of the pie, when adding salt/salty elements to a dessert, it actually intensifies the sweetness so maybe I will leave off the extra salt on the top of it if I make this.
Hello there!!😊… Thanks so much for joining me in the kitchen!…It is my hope that some of the younger women will try out some of these classic recipes and keep them going! Thanks again for the encouragement to move forward with this!😊♥️

I bet this is delicious! I probably won't make it because I'd be the only one eating it and that would not be good! Also, I like how you pinch the edges of your pie crust. It looks pretty. I have to make this!
I've never heard of this pie but it looks so interesting enough to at least try it one time !! 👍🥧🍫🥥🥮😊
That is exactly what I said when I decided to make it!😂😊
It looked so good. I was chewing while you were chewing.
🤣… lol… It was good!😊
A scope of vanilla I cream on top of a warm slice OMG… it would be delicious 🤤 !
Yep !!! Agree with the salt addition !!!
Dear Friend, thank you so much for finding and making this TRASH PIE I asked you about ❤❤. So anxious to watch and see what you think about it 💕🙏🙏 KeyLime Friend
Yayyyy!!… Im happy I did!!
God’s Blessings friend ♥️🙏🏻😊
I bet this is delicious! I probably won't make it because I'd be the only one eating it and that would not be good! Also, I like how you pinch the edges of your pie crust. It looks pretty. But how did you get it to stay in place like that? I do the standard crimp on single crust pies and they always shrink. Yours barely got brown. Thank you.
I use a pie ring or place strips of tin foil around the edges of the crust when baking!… It makes a world of difference! 😊♥️
