Damn, that was like 20 killer off-the-cuff jokes in roughly three minutes... they should have their own late-night show: "After Hours with Martin & Short".

Not really off the cuff though. Martin Short has talked about how both he and Steve Martin prepare for talk shows, and even submit scripts ahead of time (which he considers only professional). Sorry to burst your bubble but none of the stuff you see on talk shows is spontaneous.
These talk shows pre interview the guests and ask them what they want to talk about . Every talk show does this. This is whats written on the blue cards they always look at on their desk . I remember watching HOward Stern on Leno show in the early 1990s .Howard said on air that Jay interviewed me back stage and I gave him a phony list of things to talk about then Howard grabbed Jays blue cards and said everythign on here is bogus. I thought it was funny

Both of their comedy is pure genius so quick....one of my favorite lines from Martin Short was in the "Three Amigos" was the plane flys over the town and Chevy Chase says "Whats it doing here", Martin Short says "I think its a Mail plane" Chevy says, "How can you tell"? Martin says, "Didn't you notice its little balls"? Lol pure hilarious genius!!.

They seem to be sitting really close together. Having said that, Jiminy Glick's interview with Steve Martin is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I guess this is really two comments disguised as one. Well, I just made another so it's really three.
When I was younger The Three Amigos was my favorite movie of all time. I would watch it over and over and over again. NONSTOP. I appreciate these guys and there work. Love ‘em.
