Just to point couple things 1) you don’t need to unlock your iPhone to record you can just swipe left and then touch the volume up button to record 2) if you have Apple Watch you can make a one button shortcut to basically hit record with the click of your watch. 3) if you have a good phone the quality just outweighs the effort in my opinion. Which makes this product cool. I don’t have it. It would deff try it out Thanks for putting this together!
This seemed pretty biased against the magnet mount, a lot of the things you disliked are fixable or avoidable. 80% of the time you see the deer coming your way and you would have plenty of time to get ready and hit record. Some instances are different and if you don’t get it on video so what? It’s a great tool for casual hunters that want to show off their hunts.
A lot of your criticisms are going to be similar when trying to video a hunt, regardless of what you’re using. The mag pro allows folks to video their own hunts without having to purchase an additional camera that would be strictly dedicated to recording.
I agree. But some felt or something on the magnet would help with the noise. I think the idea of filming with ur phone isn’t bad but it makes something already complicated even more complicated if ur using ur phone while hunting. Just my thoughts.
I feel like you started this video off with a negative slight towards the Painted Arrow mount. Most of the things you dislike about the mount can be easily fixed or avoided.
I feel like I gave it a pretty fair evaluation. I was skeptical about certain aspects of it from the start (the clicking of the phone to the magnet) but I feel like putting side by side video is about as far as it can get. 🤷🏼♂️
@@TripleRwoodsdid you think to place the magnet sticker inside the case? Probably would be a better idea than the outside, hence the magnet pulling the sticker off your case as opposed to pulling through the case.
My issues is with Tactacam, you can’t use your stabilizer. You have to use a short one which kinda defeats the purpose of stabilizer. Second the bracket is 50 dollars and Tactacam camera I think is at least over 200 dollars… I think iPhone camera will be better than Tactacam camera in near dark. Either are perfect unfortunately…
If you carry a compass at all, even as a backup, you CAN NOT have ANYTHING magnetic! Love the Badlands bino harness, I own two. They throw off a compass! The further your hiking, the further off you will be even at 1 degree. Love magnetic mounts and closures, but not enough to forfeit accurate navigation. My$0.02
Idk I feel like it’s easy as hell to slap it on there lol. Very rarely would you not have time to put it on there. Easy solution to guys who might just want to cheaply film a hunt for their own use. Only issue I see with it is the vibration may make video unusable
Barcode on the package takes you to an installation video. Key to getting rid of vibration is to compress the foam on the stabilizer as you tighten it down.

You can use the shotgun mount on your stabilizer. Lots of people do that. It’s cheaper too. More like $25.

The 6.0 you can watch it on the screen. The solo xtreme you can watch the video on the app from your phone.
How bout leaving your phone on the mount and stay off FB while your hunting lol
