Loved Tatiana’s vocals but the dude....his parts are not good at all. Not heard much of Suicide Silence so not sure what their style is, but it doesn’t seem to fit this song in the slightest. Would love to hear Jinjer cover some more AIC though.
Their style is that of diarrhea, and it doesn't help that the singer is a convicted sex offender of an underage girl.

The male singer made me cringe. The chorus should have been Tati doing Layne's vocals with the guy doing only Jerry's parts. Him screaming over tati singing was not a good decision.

Tatiana slayed it but the singer from Suicide Silence butchered the chorus imo.Musically it was great but they should have rethought the decision to have him do what he did to the chorus.He should have just stuck to Jery Cantrell's part.I don't think Tatiana can ruin anything she touches.Overall minus the chorus not a bad cover imo.

He ruined the chorus, that was awful.
They were super generic though. Any women rock singer would've done it the exact same way and sounded the same. This was pretty rough all around vocally.

Not really a plug and play vocal section. Honestly, due to originality/grit/feel of Layne Staley...can't really replace/cover this song to any degree.

2:00 a big part of what makes Tati so great is how deeply she feels what she's singing about - the look on her face speaks volumes about her ability to get in character.
With all due respect, that chorus was terrible.. Those screams do not fit, at all. Tatiana however was good, The other singer, not so much. okay performance not great,not terrible.

@@alsybroth His screams not only ruined it, but as a woman to watch a very talented (imo) the best gutturals done by a female, so best female vocalist in her genre. I have seen her cover "Laid to rest" Randy Blythe, is my 3rd favorite vocalists and she did it justice. Its on TH-cam if you search for it.

Also, Layne Staley's voice is was so distinctly unique, that 99% of the covers I have watch by so many big name artist try and they do an AIC song, and they try to sing like him, and it sounds horrible. There is AIC cover band this kid is really really good "facelift" is the cover bands name. But, yes she could've made it her own, and did so by herself 🖤🤘

This is just shows how incredibly gifted Layne was. This cover is very good, Tatiana is hell of a singer, but the vocals are not even close to the original. Once again, it is not against these guys they did a good job, AiC is just a different league, that's all.
I don’t think that’s the point even they know they aren’t going to do it as well, but to do what they do best and do their own version of an iconic song.

No need to compare to the original guys. It is an honor when a song is covered, and it's never going to be exactly like the original. Tati is my girl - and although I enjoy the growls, it was cool to see her clean voice rock in this. She could front any band without a growl.
