It's all about having 'name' brand to most brand freaks. If it's not Sony, LG or Samsung then they will say it isn't good. My daughter has my first hisense 65" qled that I bought 4 years ago and it still works perfectly.
Thank you for the review. I bought mine a couple of days ago right before they sold out again. Mine comes next Saturday. I was worried as I wanted the U8K, but this was available so I got it.. hope I feel like you do.
I've had mine for about 3 weeks. I'm really impressed with the picture quality, Black levels, and really minor blooming. I've streamed 4k HDR, SDR and also played 4k blu ray disk content, and again, it's really impressive. I currently have 3 Sony OLED's (65a80j, 55a80k, and 77a80L) and honestly speaking, the only difference is the processing. The Hisense does lag when trying to open the menu and can't compete with the Sony. I also connected a 4k firestick to see if it helps with menu lag, which it did. I'll be posting an unboxing video soon with some content and gaming. Big difference from my epson 4k projector.
@elmalloc my son is editing them now. I will try to post both videos tomorrow. As far as the projector, the tv is significantly brighter. More contrast, even with the elite gray screen i have ampng other things.
@elmalloc it's my first unboxing on video, so please send feedback. I will be uploading a second video soon with opinion and alot of content HDR SDR AND GAMING.
Dam! This review is killing me! I was on the fence but after hearing you rave about this TV I'm ready to pull the trigger! You need to start getting a commissh dude!
my 4k streaming device and my htpc is connected to my yamaha reciever. From there to the tv. I use plex to watch my ripped 4k and bluray movies. I use a ONN streaming device from walmart to watch streaming content. My tv settings are basically set to it's factory default settings with minor tweaks on black levels and color levels. TV out of the box looks incredibly good.
How long will it last? Because the picture quality is not the only important thing you have to think about. The inner life of the TV is just as important. Will there be any repair when warranty is expired?
Dude! Any chance you can make a video to show what the picture quality is like when viewing from the side? My wife sits at the end of our Media sofa so her position wouldn't be straight on and I've heard that one of the negatives of this TV is that the picture loses contrast if you're not sitting straight on.
To me personally, i think 100 inches is too much. But I am only 2-2,5m away from the screen. I want an option to watch regular tv as well, and hopefully get a beamer with a nice screen as well. The beauty about this hobby is that we all get excited about our tech that we are able to enjoy.
that's the first thought everyone has when I tell them about my tv..."oh that's too big". Once they sit in my living room and watch a movie then they say, "damn, this is nice"
Thanks for watching. I love my tv. Haven't had any problems with it. Continues to impress me. My buddy recently bought a 75" LG (can't remember the model #) but he paid $1899 for his and according to him my hisense looks just as good if not better than his 75".
Saludos Jorge con el tiempo que tienes desde este vídeo, vale la pena todavía? No has tenido algún cambio de opinión, es que estoy por comprar exactamente el mismo. Gracias con anticipación!
I gave my oldest daughter the hisense 65" then when I bought the 100" I gave her the 85" sony. When I get tired of this 100" I'll pass it to my daughter once again
Did they also set up the wall mount or did you have to set it up yourself prior to them arriving? I just bought mine and opted for the free labor and wall mount.
I have had the tv about 1 week.. OS sucks.. only thing amazing about this TV is the size and price.. I felt like you.. I had to buy it and try it.. everything is wrong with this tv.. slow, washed out colors, flicking, accessing the menu is slow also.. the thing is when this thing gets going processor can not keep up with all the fast movement... " WHEN" the picture is good its great.. but it's 50/50 on this tv.. going back to my sony 85 inch.. the saying is true you get what you pay for ... bottom line if your picky about you spec and picture quality do not buy this TV!!
Man I have no idea what you're talking about. I"ve had mine for a week now and I love my tv. Colors are on point, sharpness, clarity, vibrance is incredible. OS is fine, nothing to write home about. You definitely one of those picky guys that has to have a $5k tv otherwise you're not satisfied. @jorgem50 yup I have also.. if I was that picky I wouldn't still own hisense, sony, and samsung TVs... this TV is straight trash.. maybe I got a bad panel .. hope yours last more than 6 months..GOOD LUCK on that one.. cause if not your gonna have a beautiful wall paper weight
@@steveyboy8011 lmfao I seriously doubt you own a hisense. Funny how you're not talking about warranty and returning the tv for another one since it has 2 year warranty but you're quick to say it's trash and blah blah blah. Enjoy your sony bro, don't bash what you don't have
@jorgem50 you are aware best buy has a 14 day return policy right? I bought a 65" Hisense which I mention in the video a few years ago. My daughter has had it for two years now and it still working great. My 100" is amazing!

Truth!! I bought Hisense 13 years ago still have zero problems with all my tvs!! I will ALWAYS buy Hisense
This is my 2nd Hisense purchase and my next tv will most likely be another hisense
anyone who doubts hisense. i bought their first 4k 65 inch tv almost 10 years ago. its still running with 0 issues.

I love it! Keeping it!!!!
@jorgem50 hey, what is the depth with the stand ? Says online 20inches/50cm which seems crazy. Is that accurate?
I’m about to build a home theater and this is the tv I intend to get for it. Thank you for this review.
Good luck with your build! I think 100" is an excellent size for a home theater and if you go with hisense I don't think you'll be disappointed
Wow that's a crazy price I would have grabbed one I don't even need one they're up to 5,000 now

My one non lg purchase in many years. I’m glad I’m going back to LG.
HEY EVERYONE! QUICK! HELP! WHAT are you thoughts on TCL 98' VS. HISENSE 100' (THIS ONE)
I’m sure it be even better with some really good surround sound system speakers or something. And some led lights surrounding it behind it.
Absolutely. I have a nice surround sound and watching movies on a huge tv is awesome
