It's all about having 'name' brand to most brand freaks. If it's not Sony, LG or Samsung then they will say it isn't good.
My daughter has my first hisense 65" qled that I bought 4 years ago and it still works perfectly.

I've had mine for about 3 weeks. I'm really impressed with the picture quality, Black levels, and really minor blooming. I've streamed 4k HDR, SDR and also played 4k blu ray disk content, and again, it's really impressive. I currently have 3 Sony OLED's (65a80j, 55a80k, and 77a80L) and honestly speaking, the only difference is the processing. The Hisense does lag when trying to open the menu and can't compete with the Sony. I also connected a 4k firestick to see if it helps with menu lag, which it did. I'll be posting an unboxing video soon with some content and gaming. Big difference from my epson 4k projector.

Dude! Any chance you can make a video to show what the picture quality is like when viewing from the side? My wife sits at the end of our Media sofa so her position wouldn't be straight on and I've heard that one of the negatives of this TV is that the picture loses contrast if you're not sitting straight on.

To me personally, i think 100 inches is too much. But I am only 2-2,5m away from the screen. I want an option to watch regular tv as well, and hopefully get a beamer with a nice screen as well.

I have had the tv about 1 week.. OS sucks.. only thing amazing about this TV is the size and price.. I felt like you.. I had to buy it and try it.. everything is wrong with this tv.. slow, washed out colors, flicking, accessing the menu is slow also.. the thing is when this thing gets going processor can not keep up with all the fast movement... " WHEN" the picture is good its great.. but it's 50/50 on this tv.. going back to my sony 85 inch.. the saying is true you get what you pay for

OS is fine, nothing to write home about. You definitely one of those picky guys that has to have a $5k tv otherwise you're not satisfied.
