Currently on a military deployment but I went with my gut to order this right before it sold out in January. Will be delivered in a month or so when I get home. You are the first actual video review I could find. Thks a lot for posting,
Great deal on this tv. 100” is huge. The tv wall mount I have is that I can bring out the tv and move it up or down or turn side to side so you can watch from anywhere in the room. I took my wall mount with me when I moved. Enjoy your new TV Sara and husband. Great review.
Great vid - thanks for posting! I'm hoping to get this if it goes on sale again. Question, you mentioned you have the ability to plug in LEDs. Did you mean that this TV will control the LEDs to create a halo effect around it which mimics the colors on the screen or just a regular strip?
I had already purchased the 80” TCL S5 which is a fantastic TV. But then last week the day this was posted on Best Buy, I decided to purchase the Hisense because it was full array, and had more features and more tech than the TCL. So it’s more future proof for another five years. I got my TV installed this past week on Wednesday and it’s fantastic so far. I’m waiting for professional TV review and calibrators to demonstrate the best settings. But I’ve had a chance to mess around and have decent settings so far. Oh yeah, and I did cancel the TCL. lol. Although, a 100 inch TV in the bedroom would be pretty cool as well 😂
❤❤❤That 206 local dimming zone are fine. SONY X90L only have d SAME local dimming density. Like the 65” only has 80 local dimming, the 75” had like 120 maybe. This tv has WAY better blooming control, processing, n color than x90L. 😊 HUGE win
Thanks for sharing, checked out my BB saved list this afternoon and these were back in stock but sold out fast. I was able to pick one up and will be delivered on the 17th. I have the U8 but your video convinced me the other day that this TV is good enough for me to live with.
WOW it looks great I'm very proud of you for getting it. I was a little to late to get mine they sold out here in San Antonio TX too. I'm know waiting for the next batch to come in LoL. Injoy your TV and God Bless you 🙏
The video was awesome and I am considering buying this TV but I wanted to see the hisense googleTV menu and not Roku.. I was wondering if the TV has internet web browser..
Thanks, it appears to be in the center but the packaging hides the lower portion and it makes me think closer to the top. I was looking for the actual measurement, such as "The base of the wall mount is 30 inches from the base of the TV" @@mesarastarr
What the reason behind these tv manufacturers using a hdmi port as a 60,120 or 144hz earc? Why don’t they just have 2 dedicated hz hdmi ports and leave the earc hdmi port as just earc? Am I misunderstanding something here? It’s annoying to have to get up and switch hdmi cables around because of only one ports being dedicated to 120hz or 144hz. I tried a hdmi splitter and it causes a lot of issues for my tv
They use a 120/144hz eARC combined port for passthrough. This way you can have a streambox/xbox/playstation/etc. connected to a receiver directly and the 120/144Hz will passthrough to the TV. Of course this only matters if you have a passthrough supported AVC, otherwise, you can use the extra 120/144hz port provided for your game system / streambox.
would this TV still look better then most UST projectors? I'm debating the U8K or a UST with 120 inch screen mostly watching 4k blu rays and some 4k streaming
every projector youtuber is saying yes, any tv is always better than projector now that prices are low and can reach 100 inch. The only people that are saying go projector is if you have brightness controlled room and must have more than 120 or more. The general consensus I've found is if you go projector go as close to 200 inch or more. Otherwise 110 in tv is the way to go. Just what I've found researching this past week or so.
@@johncapone8843 there were a couple last year, but this year hisense or tcl has a 110 inch like 10,000 nit one coming. it was all over ces, check out the yt vids
@@trauma50disaster1 100" tv is very small compared to 120+ projector. I do own a 135" projector in my house. When i shrink the tv to 100" its only watchable for tv show. For movies with black bar i need 120"+. I sit about 15feet to 20feet from the projector.
where do you look that info up, I don't think it's on tv boxes generally. I think someone said mediatek chip of some sort. What was in the 2023 for a processor?
do you watch it through the tv app or pc 4k or what resolution? yt premium or you get ads? What tv are you coming from that has stellar performance in low bit rate yt and the like? how close do you sit or were you standing up demoing it? I sit 10 ft with an old 86 inch and it seems fine, but I'm watching at 4k60. Also I'm watching general tech reviews or news, like I'm not looking or noticing low bit rate, what blocking? What content are you watching on yt movies or peoples cell phones? I want a 100 inch and it would have to be better than my old tv. I have 2 oleds upstairs I don't even mess with cause I like the big screen.
@@trauma50disaster1 I have Sony & LG OLEDs in my house, and I tried a TCL qm8 and Hisense u8k both 75 inch and the picture processing is not even as good as my old C9 OLED… they both try to make up with picture brightness, but the brightness is way too much for good picture quality and long periods of watching……. I was told before and it’s true if you’re coming from oleds TV or high end Sony leds you will be very disappointed…. and most live TV streaming apps and regular streaming apps, suffer from low bit rate. Unless you’re watching Disney+, Apple, plus, prime, video, etc. I do think DIRECTV stream has the highest quality of live stream television, hands-down
The 100 in U8K is coming out in either mid-February or late. Maybe you'll have some time to return this one and get that instead. I have a 65 inch version and it's the closest thing you can get to an Oled if sitting head on. Hisense really nailed it with their mini LED local dimming algorithm. 1,008 local dimming zones on the 65 is impressive with mini led.
Not referring to OLED tv. I was referring to Hisense U8K,but mentioned that the mini LED local dimming is so good that it looks like OLED. You mentioned in the video that the U76 has some blooming. The U8K doesn't. I also have 86 inch LG Nano Cell 90 from 2021 with full array local and the Hisense blows it away. Waiting for the release of the 100 inch U8K This month. Then I will upgrade. If you enjoy this TV that's fine it's a nice one. Love the review.
I have bought this 100” U8k and returned after a week … Had so much problems like the processor was slow on some higher content, the screen was not the same as the smaller U8k it’s cheaper not glossy and picture is basic can’t tell the difference with regular led or mini led. Also tv is so damn heavy with the stupid built in speakers inside that I don’t care about. Cant barely hang it without being afraid it might not hold cuz so heavy. Got the TCL 98” instead & love it so much more and everything works so much better ..

Why did the TV say LG Oled if this is for a hisense?
It was the LG OLED YT video playing on the screen.
@mesarastarr so was there any part of the video that was showing the hisense or was it all LG oled?
