I have taught Pre-K for 26 years. I have a full time para professional , an inclusion teacher so we all take one center group and the and the other two groups are playing in their centers. We rotate each day so that we see all the groups each week.
Thanks for taking us along on your 2nd week Madison!!! But glad you are liking kindergarten!!! The littles are just so cute but its always exhausting at the end of the day!! Love you Madison!
Kindergarten is def a whole different world! I did it for many years and I don't have the energy or patience for it now. It takes a special person to teach kindergarten. Good luck this year with the littles.
My school does a “soft-start”, the first week of school students rotate through all the Kindergarten teacher, we call it “Kinder Camp”. And at the end of the week we make our final rosters. This allows us to get a glimpse into who they are whole-child and separate those who have high emotional/behavioral needs.
Pre-K is the Foundation of everything! It’s such an important and unique teaching experience. It’s physically and mentally challenging (like all year groups), and you’re being used 100%. It’s extremely rewarding too.
I'm a High School choir teacher and I am in love with your channel ha ha!! I am here for your stories!! So BOOO to the one who doesn't like your talking!!
Good morning and happy Saturday… I’m not a teacher but have always wanted to be I was super nervous about it with so many teachers quitting and speaking about their struggles, but after watching so many of your videos I’m not so afraid anymore and plan to go for it… thank you for so many amazing videos and also sharing your journey along with us I appreciate it very much
I can't believe someone had the audacity to tell you that you talk too much haha, like you said, this is your channel - so please don't let the negative people have the loudest voice in the room! You keep doing you babes :) you are such an inspiration & I absolutely adore your content! Sending nothing but the best your way!
Love the content! I am starting my Internship teaching year in January and I am pretty nervous to see what grade I will be placed in. Seeing these videos makes me feel much more at peace with the potential of getting a Kinder class!
I am teaching older twos and threes (young preschoolers) - this is my 7th year doing sooo…. I love all of your teaching content… I too get to school about a half hour before I need to so I can get prepared for the day (and sometimes I also film reels too 😊)….. I would love to see how you both run your small group time and teacher outfits (super cute by the way) too….. Have a blessed week and I can’t wait to see your pictures from Italy…. 😍
Your videos encouraged me to chase my dreams and become a teacher! I have no regrets and I’m so glad you’re back in the classroom and thriving! May Jesus bless you and your family❤️.
Good Saturday afternoon! In my seventh year of teaching at a preschool/daycare (afternoons). In my fourth year teaching K-4. We use the Abeca curriculum. Like the content of your channel.
I teach TK so I do get some kids from Kindergarten after the school year starts. They try to determine those kids during our 3 day Jumpstart before school starts but not all kids come. There are 4 students in Kindergarten that may move to TK. I am waiting to hear. Parents have to approve of the move.
I would love to see more of how you are using your Google slides with your Fundations and I-Readt curriculums. I also teach kindergarten and our curriculum is the same 😊
I'm a first year teacher for 2nd grade. Our whole school has transitioned from Abeka to IReady and we actually haven't been trained! Our Zoom training day was the Wednesday of Hurricane (I'm in Jacksonville) and has yet to be rescheduled. Also, I'm coming from a school that I substituted in for 3 1/2 years that did not do centers (this is my children's school). It is a classical charter school. It is direct teaching with partner work only. So the whole centers thing is sooooo overwhelming. I do not have a co-teacher and I am the ONLY second grade teacher. It is a small private school. Any advice on how to do centers would be great for the IReady curriculum. I can use one station for I-ready computers and one for maybe the workbook part of the math and reading?! But what about differentiating the 3rd station? Do you do centers everyday? It is super overwhelming to me. I have 9 students. 3 rotations of 3 is perfect.
Hey. I’m a first year teacher. I was previously a para. I teach kinder. It’s been an adjustment for sure. Kinder is definitely another world. Quick question…do you and the other kinder teachers plan as a grade level? We have 3 grade level planning days. 1 is dedicated to data and the other 2 are just grade level planning. Our admin want us all on the same page as far as what we’re teaching.
I was previously a para as well (15 years) until I became a teacher. It definitely is a new world. We do not plan together, but this year they want us to stay together with the content. We meet once a week to discuss where we are and what we're doing. Good luck this year!
Hey! We have weekly grade level meetings so kinda! Just making sure we’re all on the same page. But of course each classroom does their own planning independently.
Hi I would like to know where you got your shoes the beige ones brings me back to my teen days time stamp is 13 mins and 9 secs in you are wearing the printed dress from Temu thanks
I am a preschool teacher. But I am working towards getting my full teaching degree so I can teach elementary school. I currently have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.
I think some days you could do the small group lesson and ur do teacher does the whole group lesson and then the next day your ci teacher does the small group lesson and you do the whole group lesson.
I have never heard of changing students classrooms a few weeks into the school year, unless they need special services, like an inclusion classroom. What criteria are you using to move them? I'm sure some children would have no problem moving rooms, but for others it could cause a lot of stress which could mean more behavior problems. I think it would be difficult to learn all new rules, procedures and routines. Also, a lot of talk lately about how TEMU can open yourself up to hacking and identity theft. I would hate to see that happen to you.

My 3rd year teaching and all in Kinder. Love it so much!
I hope this channel never ends and keeps spreading happiness.

My son’s school does the same. I think it makes it easier this way for the kiddos and teachers.
We do that at our school. They call it Jumpstart.
