You can just tell scrim and ruby are some of the most humble guys in the world. Makes me so happy for them for all of their success and getting sober. These guys fucking deserve it.

Ok, I'm 70 and I can't believe I just sat through 2 hours of a taste of New Orleans. Don't hate me but I have no clue who the s boys are but I love Theo. Now, I am blown away with the honest kinship they all have. Theo kept mentioning that the boys created their own world, when actually, they all had a bond that was their own world, too. Never knew anyone from Louisiana but there is a connection, a drive and a type of honesty you don't see often. Best of everything to all of you.
My baby brother tried to commit suicide 2 years ago , only 16 years old , $uicuideboy$ music has always been his getaway from all the stuff he had going , last year he asked me to drive him 4 hours to see them live and was one of the best things we ever did together , this year we going to see them again in Lincoln Nebraska … thank you $uicideboy$ for letting me keep my baby brother …🫶🏾 your music saved him
They saved my life twice. been listening since 2015 soundcloud days. still my favorite music group. i’m glad your brother is with you, i’m sure you’re a great sister 😇
There is something very unique and special about the boys. I'm 50 years old and a lifetime fan of punk rock, heavy music, and old-school hip-hop. I'm also a recovering heroin addict with almost ten years clean. This shit is so authentic because the boys are authentic. Painfully genuine sometimes.
It’s true when Theo says “you never know who’s a $B fan” I’m a single mom of 3 self made entrepreneur at 37 years old finally celebrating 4 years clean on the 4th of July! Best interview iv seen. As a $B enthusiast and someone who has been recently getting into Theo Von, this interview gave me a an insight into their personal lives which i can relate to and admire. im so thankful to be able to be influenced by you guys, and be apart of what we have created.
This is by FAR the best interview they've ever done. I've been a fan of theirs since 2017 and I've never see them be this open or talk this much in an interview ever. Cool to finally hear more about their background instead of just "hearsay".
definitely an understatement to say we as fans have sorta grown along with them. i was headed into the 10th grade when i started listening to $B. now im 24, seen them get sober, battled addiction myself, and have 139 days clean now. wild.

oh my fkn god, the typical, regularly scheduled comment quoting something theo said "omfg wasnt that genius? Theos a fuckin genius! If you dont agree you just too dumb to get it!" type shit. Calm down bro, it wasnt that fuckin epic.
shows you how humble they are. I like how Scott mentions that they don't want to be idealized as something better than any other normal person. They just make some sick ass music.
@AmmoGus1 they ain't for everybody but that don't make it trash. And even IF it did, one man's trash is another one's treasure. Those boys right there have helped countless addicts make it through another day with nothing but their music. They've helped addicts claw their way out of the darkness of addiction. G59 is a family that unless you're a part of you clearly don't understand. You sir, obviously don't get it.
I feel so normal! lol learning more to live with whatever crazy thing about me. but yeah I heard my dad describe it that way before and can definitely relate.
My first time taking percs i was 16 and I immediately knew i was going to seek out that feeling for the rest of my life. I was right. But luckily i never really had access to them, so i just settled for weed/alcohol etc. Still habitually seeking euphoria but somewhere along the line i realized that perfect bliss is fleeting and unsustainable anyway
The thing is everything was ok but these stuff makes you absolutely convinced you need it to ever feel happy again. Takes a lot of time to realize it ain’t that dramatic

Man hearing $B speak on wandering topics with Theo makes me love their music so much more. Phenomenal guys, and good Lord Theo is such an astounding interviewer. No real special questions, just learning about a guest candidly
my best friend died in a car crash in 2016 and she introduced me to them in 2015. to this day i listen to them everyday and i honestly think they’re the only reason i made it through her death without ODing. they forever will remind me of her. seeing how amazing they’re doing makes me so happy.
I also lost my BFF in a car crash. It was intoxicated driving, and it was my friend behind the wheel…….. I think that the only thing that kept me alive was not wanting addiction to claim another soul. I hated my demons for a long, long time… but it took nearly 7 years after losing my bestie to finally get sober and stay sober. 16 1/2 years now sober, and it honestly gets harder the further away from the desperation that I get. Suicideboys give me that desperation back though, some of those bars are real fucking life to me, and they’ll remind me that it’s a long, hard fall down… so I gotta keep my balance. Couldn’t be more grateful to them and their music, and this interview kind of rounds out the picture for me now. I’d love to catch a meeting with these cats, but just because they’re real people and not some of the fakes you see in a meeting, trying to play up like they know everything and have it all. Scrim’s right, they don’t punch down and to me they feel like an extension of my crew. Keep up the great work on staying grass-side, you never heal entirely but your friend never leaves you all the way either. Your testimony, every testimony humanizes recovery and mental health and strips stigma away, thank you so much for sharing!
@@nunyabizwacks6711 Addiction lies in wait to mop up the souls of broken people. Everywhere, every day. That’s it, full stop. It’s hard to understand if you haven’t been there, although not impossible. But this is why we are drawn together, in their music we hear a sympathetic and understanding voice, and it feels like a safe place to go while we try to make sense of something that seems utterly senseless to everyone else.
$uicideboys have forever changed me. They saved my life. From being at my lowest and hearing their music just knowing I wasn’t alone. I am so happy they are where they are now. Forever proud of

So hearing songs about drugs and suicide made you avoid drugs and suicide?. I never understood that I honestly just like them because I think they have cool beats and they sound nice 😊
@@Lord_of_the_Pies when you take drugs and contemplate suicide, you feel alone. you don't think anyone else feels how you feel if not worse. to hear songs that describes to a T how im feeling at that very moment , can make me and millions of others feel accepted, hope, a chance to get better, their heavily misunderstood , they aren't telling their fans to kill themselves, nor to take drugs, same way how people who had trouble with their parents growing up might be more fond to eminem's music because he raps about how his mom was a b word to him and how his father left him, its more so feeling like you're no longer an outcast . and the fanbase is one big family because we all dealt with similar issues. my favorite songs by them are clyde and king tulip, heavily deep songs
Talking about not feeling comfortable in your own skin until you got high is so relatable. Sometimes addiction feels like that missing piece we’re looking for
Its the life Story of many people in this world and the "Why" is so easy explainable and still people treat addicts as monsters or people that need to be locked up for years (Im not saying that no addicts needs to be locked up for their actions) The "Why" is easy, because we all want to be loved in some kind of way and want to feel comfortable in our own skin Some people have different and harder life paths than others and its so easy to take a pill, for example and feel like you actually like yourself for that moment And that is all we as humans are doing, all can be fixed with a bit of self love and people that love you and have your back, literally everything, because the meaning of life, to me personally is.. just be loved and give love.. and thats why people can relate cause we all want to fill that hole with something that makes us feel good and alive... and sadly in todays age that are drugs and we all need to adapt to that as people Hang in there, for everyone that needs it, you and me are not alone in these addiction and drug times, there are always people that suffer just like u, just remember that.
I'm a social worker in addiction care and also have a history of what I would characterize as hazardous use in my youth. I hear this sentiment a lot. For me a lot changed when I was realized I had ADHD (non-hyperactive type), even before diagnosis and meds. Depending on the study, 20-50% of ppl with substance use disorder has ADHD. Growing up with ADHD, you are 1) constantly understimulated (except when doing stuff that fully captures your attention), feeling like nothing's ever enough, 2) impulsive and deviant tendencies, and likely to 3) feel like an outsider, like a circle in a square world. This will at times make you feel special, more creative etc, other times like a failure, which often fuels a rebellious identity and/or social anxiety. Given all this, it makes perfect sense from a neurological, psychological, and social-psychological standpoint. It also makes sense in that many ADHD meds are basically or literally amphetamine, i.e. when used in a controlled manner drugs actually can help you function & feel better. But on your own, you are quite unlikely to use in a responsible way, which will of course lead to addiction, and a spiral that makes you feel like shit and not function at all
It really hurt my heart when they said the city of New Orleans doesn’t love them. Like I personally love their music , and I’m proud they rep the state like they do. So it doesn’t make sense to me how we the people of NO wouldn’t appreciate their music.

@@nunyabizwacks6711 Addiction lies in wait to mop up the souls of broken people. Everywhere, every day. That’s it, full stop. It’s hard to understand if you haven’t been there, although not impossible. Talking about not feeling comfortable in your own skin until you got high is so relatable. Sometimes addiction feels like that missing piece we’re looking for
For the most part it works...at a cost.
Its the life Story of many people in this world and the "Why" is so easy explainable and still people treat addicts as monsters or people that need to be locked up for years (Im not saying that no addicts needs to be locked up for their actions)
The "Why" is easy, because we all want to be loved in some kind of way and want to feel comfortable in our own skin
Some people have different and harder life paths than others and its so easy to take a pill, for example and feel like you actually like yourself for that moment
And that is all we as humans are doing, all can be fixed with a bit of self love and people that love you and have your back, literally everything, because the meaning of life, to me personally is.. just be loved and give love.. and thats why people can relate cause we all want to fill that hole with something that makes us feel good and alive... and sadly in todays age that are drugs and we all need to adapt to that as people
Hang in there, for everyone that needs it, you and me are not alone in these addiction and drug times, there are always people that suffer just like u, just remember that.
God that's gay

They don't do interviews at all. This is literally history getting made right now. I loved that Theo been supporting them since the beginning, jus shows real swamp boys recognizes real swamp boys
This interview & the comments in the feed are straight🔥🔥🔥That's what music & comedy is all about!
Big fan of Theo's & now because of this interview I'm already a fan of SB's 🫳🏽💯 Respect

I swear no one has ever motivated me as much as these boys do, love them
