  • I didn't add a link to the fans as Amazon only has the 5v and 24v version available.

Slow the fan down by adding a resistor, it will run a bit slower and make less noise.

Try pulling the fan off the wall and try it with some double sided foam tape to isolate The noise.

Sometimes you don't know what should stay as an idea until you try it :P Cheers from Oz

Add a fan to the outside enclosure door. Kind of like a computer case fan. Higher powered fan and not against anything you'll hear inside....... i hope.

Mayhaps a pressure regulator in-line for the pooper? Inexpensive units for rv city water feed.

Leave the ceiling fan off when doing business. It pulls the odor up out of the tank.

put it on a timed switch? Go #2, press switch/button, fan runs for 5 min then shuts off. also, maybe some padding between fan body and wall of toilet. Between less vibration due to padding and short runtime, may be worth keeping if it is effective at its job.

Why not gasket the lid so it just seals up a smidge and keeps the stank in the pooper?

Not really any idea it would make that much noise, without trying it first. How 'about putting the fan outside, below where you checked for air movement. Under there you can put in a larger fan. Nice work Chad! Love your content. BTW, I have purchased all the Gen II A/C components for my M1078 and will start the install tomorrow. Take care brother!

I’m glad you where able to source all the AC components. It is so nice having AC In the cab. And being able to run the system in recirculate mode. I was amazed at how much you reduce the engine fan noise.

not a fan of cassette toilets, composting is the way of the future for RV/Offroading. Keeping solids and liquids separated and you don't have a stink issue. Don't need any special dispensing location, not nasty af to clean up.

agree/disagree.... compost RV toilets are a misnomer if not an outright lie. Composting cycle takes months to a year to complete. You "presently" can dispose of easily but that will likely get abused and the dumping rules will change not allowing it. (animals will rip the bag open to get to the insides..... some animals love poop.... some will just want the material for bedding..... etc.) Anyone who uses a compost toilet needs a second deposit can, to put what you take out into.when you change to fresher content in the toilet....... Also you need at home an actual maintained compost pile for the process to complete. IMHO compost toilet done right is best....... just doubt few will do it and screw it up for everyone

Great videos by the way! I have a 2005 LMTV that I pick up next week. It’s getting road gears as we speak. You provide a lot of great info. Thanks for that!

    Hey, here is an idea!!!!
Let's design some razu sound deadening muffler type thing a ma job that costs WAY more and takes nearly a week to complete!
Surely THAT wouldn't be a waste of time and money! 😉
Think of the content! Title could be "Spending a ton of resources to make the poop room quiet!" 👍

"we do it nice cause we do it twice" lol
pull the thing off the wall... and since you have 1/4" clearance re-mount on rubber feet or pad just shy of that 1/4"..... if it is worth the amount of cfm the thing is putting out. easy to say here in my chair though lol.

I have a different design idea with a larger fan at a 45° angle that should be interesting.

As you get older you hear less so in a couple years you won't hear the fan.🤫
