- On a cold and rainy Monday afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri, hundreds of volunteers and residents came together at the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis' headquarters to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On the holiday dedicated to the civil rights icon, volunteers showed up by the dozens for the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Tribute food drive, an event that gets food and other items in the hands of families experiencing food insecurity.
The food drive was presented by the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis (ULSTL), an organization that has provided social services to the St. Louis area for over a century.
The Church is supporting ULSTL’s efforts with a donation of 40,000 pounds of food for Monday’s food drive. Sister Kristin M. Yee, second counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, Sister Tracy Y. Browning, second counselor in the Primary General Presidency, and Elder Randall K. Bennett, General Authority Seventy and Second Counselor in the North America Central Area Presidency, participated in the food drive.

This is absolutley so beautiful! "This shows...that [the church] recognizes that churches are an important part of those community solutions." -Sister Tracy Y. Browning
Happy to be a member of the restored gospel! Were all children of god! Blessing to give to others in need. Happy that our church is doing that thru out the world. 👍🙏🙏🙏
We appreciate your comment, thank you!
Many thanks for the church helping the people in St Louis! A sister of mine lives there and I’ve traveled up there a couple times. The city sometimes gets ignored more than Kansas City

Amazing
❤❤❤
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, and that the Latter-day Saints, are helping to bless so many people around the world who are struggling not just with poverty, but with a variety of challenges. These amazing people are working with many charitable organizations around the world, so that we as God's children can bless mankind in his name!
Jesus love the little children, red and yellow black and white, their all precious in His sight. Our Beloved Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson bears his prophetic testimony and brings our attention in "The Restoration of the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ," That God loves His Children in "EVERY NATION OF THE WORLD."
Thank you dear Sister's as you serve in this leadership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, God trusts you and thanks you for helping those who are experiencing hard
times.
These donations of food prepared in the many Humanitarian center's, be it food or clothing or any other need, each shift of worker's begins with a prayer. All who give time, energy and love are God's helping hands. May we all share and be part of those helping to feed a tummy and give relief to those trying to provide for their families.
