Hey quick question I did the same install you did cover the on and off switch in a bag and left the switch on will this kill the battery
The off and on switch that you put in a bag does the red light stay on all the time when turned off? Just want to make sure it doesn’t run the vehicle battery down.
Yes, the switch LEDs stay on. However it draws such a small amount of power it would take a long, long time to effect your car/truck battery. Unless the install is in a show vehicle where the battery might not be used/charged for a long time, this shouldn't be a concern. Do you run this vehicle regularly? @@kerstinr.1
@@AlpenaAutomotive yes, it’s driven several times a week! Is it okay to leave it in the on position all the time? I keep my switch under the hood. I haven’t found access into the cab of my truck yet. Thank you for responding 😊
My red light stays on even tho the truck is off and lights are off. Is that normal? For the master push button.

Hey my friend I hope all is well, I'm so very excited that you have found my channel and i Hope you become a member of the sub family community! If you have a foreign vehicle there are [Positive +] & [Negative -] battery terminals located inside the engine Bay that you can connect the ALPENA TrekTec LED LightBars to instead of running the wires to the Trunk area where the vehicle's battery is located. I would recommend you to split the [Positive +] & [Negative -] wire in half so they can reach the [Positive +] & [Negative -] terminals inside the engine Bay. These Battery terminals can also be used to charge the Battery or also Jumpstart the vehicle's. Also I would like to mention that you can run the wires to the truck but it will be quite a task to do so. I hope this information helps you.
