Burton’s Batman world is amazingly extravagant and some of the most nostalgic cinematography available. I’ll watch this on a Christmas Eve as it was meant to be enjoyed.
I love the fact that in Gotham all the villains and even the batman himself is broken inside which makes them complicated characters with good and bad sides.

Danny elfman did a great job creating this introduction theme here at 1:26. That's one thing I've always liked about Danny elfman"s career as a composer, how he does intros, prologues, introductions and outros.

Should really laud Tim Burton's direction in the movie. This scene, both literally and figuratively, had the Penguin rising out of the dark underground and onto the bright surface, revealing himself to the world. The shot at 1:26 shows it all. And the background score was just perfect. That's just, pure artistic genius direction on Burton's part.
I wish Tim Burton still had his edge. He just seems to do these ultra "family friendly" glazed over movies. I want to go to movies again to dream again.
