My grandfather worked for CSX in WV way back in the day. I still remember standing on the back of the train holding on to the railing watching my grandpa work in his train uniform. Tonight I just started to miss him. He’s been gone for for nearly 28 years. I was 11 and he left such a lasting impression on me that tonight, when I was feeling “uneasy” for some reason I decided to look up WV trains. And surprisingly this has actually been helpful. Perhaps I romanize trains too much. Anyways, thanks for uploading it’s brought back some fond memories and brought me peace.
that opening manifest at Hemphill was just magical. When the light is right, it really doesn't matter what the motive power is. Seriously great to watch.
Not familiar with this tunnel, where is this at?? It's about the 2:50 Mark. Also West Virginia is undoubtedly my favorite state especially for trains. I'm assuming that this is near the Ohio River?? Great video and I was more than happy to subscribe. ☺✌Ty
Ty to Ian; the opening scene is at Hemphill, WV. Can Anyone help me here; the Tunnel at the opening Manifest would that be considered "Hemphill Tunnel "?? Please and ty. Ty✌🤓
Technically it's a micro 4/3 camera, smaller sensor than a DSLR, and the GH4 / 5 are specifically video oriented cameras more than still photography. Downside is no motor driven zoom, upside is a largish sensor and interchangeable lenses at a relatively low price compared to dedicated cinema cameras.
You know what everyone is going to laugh here but when you put your web site highlighted in blue on my reply to you; I don't have a Single Clue how to do that!! LOL. Sorry or I would have.

Nicely shot and edited video! I like the focus on the power and not 200 cars passing by.
Yeah I've found people don't tend to watch full trains.
Wonderful video my friend, thanks for sharing!
Stunning quality. Thank you for sharing. : )
Dude! Your videography is amazing. Keep up the good work bro!
Thanks, if you're just now seeing this one you've got a whole lot more to see on my channel haha.
Great video.
Groovy video and the sound was almost as if you were close to the trains, I also love the scene that was swell.
Terrific catches!
Yeap! Great and thanks for sharing!
12 minute mark reminds me of Williamson and 19:30 looks somewhat familiar.
Great stuff!

It's a pair of tunnels, and yes I believe they're generally referred to as the Hemphill tunnels.
Great video, and great locations. Love the valley at 19' and the bridge at 21'. What kind of camera is tis shot with?

I think TH-cam does that automatically on replies sometimes. Not sure what triggers it.
