I do that too😂 My girls have to keep it as tidy as possible but once a month I must to step in and do it my way to ensure they're doing alright. I deep clean with them and it's my way to bond and show them how's to do it right❤ My 14yo Don't need me anymore😢 she's doing so good I'm so proud when I went to clean and instead just have to pick the laundry basket❤ Now my 11 and 7yo are going through the same path.
I cleaned my entire room because of this! I started around 10:00 am and finished at 7:43 thank you so much!!!
How my parents got me to feel guilty enough to clean my room is they would always remind me that each thing I own was given to me by God & it wasn't a right, but a privilege. They told me if I wanted to be Blessed with new things, I had to show it to them & God that I would take care of what I already had. They had no problem reminding me if I asked for say a new bike, of how I always left my old one out which showed I didn't value it. I have never forgotten those lessons & apply it today. I need God to see I'm a good Steward with what He blesses me with. 🙏🏽💜✝️💯

That steamer can be disrespectful with trying to burn hands. I really like your vulnerability with extending grace to your daughter and it was a reminder to do the same with my children.

Yes she’s responsible for keeping it clean but to some kids clean means out of sight 😭. So I like to help her out but most of the time we do it together so she can see how to clean correctly.
It will come, she is still young. You are a great mother and as long as you’re teaching her she will eventually get it and surprise you one day❤️. Sometimes when she is not going to school show her some of the videos when you’ve cleaned her room and soon she will know exactly what to do and how to keep it together. All with love❤️.
That’s a good idea. I try to clean with her so she can see how I do things. But I know she’ll get it when she older 🥰

Great video!! I *TOTALLY* understand the struggle with boys, aim, and toilets. My boys have gotten better but when they were younger, I’d have to run behind them every visit to the bathroom.
Ugh even if I tried it would still be a mess on my work days because my hubby doesn’t see it apparently. No one things to lift the caps.

Hi Kerima! I hope you are all well. Oh, the struggle of the kids’ messy rooms 😩. I’m naturally a very organized person, but it seems that gene ‘social distanced’ from my kids 🤣. These days I tie them cleaning up their rooms to something they like (screen time!). Other times I just tell myself that they are (almost) 9 & 6 - so, a little grace.
Hello! Yea I don’t have that gene either. My grandmother was the most organized person I knew. I wish I inherited that gene.

I use my hand steamer to clean my toilet and around the floor of the toilet,it comes out great.Great video,enjoyed it.

Great motivating video 😊 Do you happen to know where you got your daughter's dresser and night stand? They're so pretty 😍 I've never heard of steaming the mattress and pillows before, but that's a good idea! Have you had the steamer ever leak out water when you do your mattresses? As my little garment steamer (similar to what you have) leaks if I tip it too far, but I also have a large one that shouldn't. Can't wait for your next video!

My daughter was the same way growing up, I found that bins, baskets and decorative boxes helped with it! She had 5 star hotel service every morning....I didn’t mind, I miss those days!
I like that idea! It would be nice to put some small bins under her bed for extra storage of books and games.

Dear parents!
When Your kids are very good behaviour all the time and always taking good care of their things, keeping their rooms very clean, loving their favorite things and want to make nice childhood collections of their things: books, clothes, toys, video games, clothes, DVDs and etc, then donataing is very wrong thing to do. If You have few space then storage boxes and shelves will help You out and Your kids will be very happy and thankful then, if they can keep their favourite things. Childhood things are very valuable and it is very sad, if they won’t see them anymore in their life. Every child should have the right to keep their things, if they can take good care of them all the time!!!

My issue is that I take something out of my bedroom and put it in another room but when I enter that room I end up cleaning that room and forgetting my bedroom :(

I can’t tell if your daughter’s mattress is ‘pillow top’ or a memory foam that comes in a box.. if it’s the latter you should be able to zip off the top cover for washing. Maybe she needs a rolling (or not) underbed container.

Her mattress is pillow top so no removable cover but I always us a mattress protector. I actually like the idea of an under bed container. She has a ton of books and games so I would love to use that space.

Then we would have a overflowing trash can that she would never empty. Kinda like her bathroom garbage that I have to constantly remind her to empty. I just decided to banned eating in her room all together. The struggle is real 😭😂
