Child number three is for lack of a better word, a slob. Oh my goodness. :( She is 12 and has always been like this. The other two 16 and 14 are not this way at all. I have tried so much with her and nothing works. Sigh..
@@KatWrangler I'm 10 and share a room with a 7 year old and never tidys she has everything under her bed and not one of her clothes are folded I have to tidy it today and I'm going to be exhausted. I also sometimes tidy my 4 year old brothers room with my mum (as she says it's not my responsibility to clean his room as I don't live in it).
ive discovered the best thing you can do is get rid of absolutely as much as you can. if toy rotation works for u, thats fine, but like, the less stuff u have, the less stuff u gotta clean up. and absolutely expect your kids to clean as much of it by themselves as they can. and set high standards! its ok if its not perfect. anyways the room looks great yall did a good job 😊(i realize this comment is 2 years late oops)
To be honest I'm a kid and I have a 2 year old sister who legit put anything and anything under our bed dawg😂 so I'm responsible to clean up and I've been watching these to improve my cleaning cuz I'm 9 on my mom's acc! So sometimes I may put things that don't fit in my closet under my bed but my sis makes it messy😊
My little girl is 4 and I’m constantly cleaning and straightening up everything, she has the exact kitchen in her room! I think the toughest part is purging items bc she doesn’t want to part with anything.
The struggle is real. I'm watching you as I sort my two little girls room. To make matters worse I'm short and I have so much dead space I can't use without a step while I have a super independent 5 year old who wants to dress herself. So if you have advise for short mom's, it will be appreciated. Lol. Great job on the decluttering.
Usually if your short you wanna try putting things she don't want but you had as a kid and wanna keep at the top. My mom kept the things she had as a kid in closet, like in high spaces. So try putting things she won't need to get down or won't be using daily at the top so you won't always have to climb up there to get everything. I hope this advice is good enough 😅 Sorry if it isn't, I never had a being short problem so I never thought about it. Have a good day/night
Definitely a struggle with daughter room and her playroom when I decided to organise both room getting frustrated cause spend 1 hour and half sorting cause when I look again half an hour just as bad as before s been tidy
I love it! Every time I try to organize my daughters room ill come back in there the next day and its a disaster. But I'm actually helping her get rid of toys she don't want and things she's outgrew so I can keep her room organized and were she has the toys she actually plays with and not the ones she never uses cluttering her room. But its been clean for 3 days straight since the last time I cleaned it which was about 1 week ago. Also what size is the mattress? I need to get my daughter a new mattress because hers is very old and dirty 😅
This is the struggle with our 8yr old. She’s got so much small little things like beads rainbow loom small toys. Taft stuff etc. hard to keep clean. Trying to teach her to clean up after herself. Then room clean ups become a battle every time.
I am seven and I have that same suitcase and I didn’t give it up and I like to put my baby clothes in there and her hairbrush and all that stuff so shout out to you love you girls
Just did this to my 4 year olds room. Her closet was stuffed full of old furniture and baby clothes that didn’t fit anymore. Just junk that never got used or played with. Went through her insane amount of toys because her dads side of the family gets her so many toys all the time. Got rid of all the small baby like toys, toys that didn’t go to sets, random blocks and just chaos. Took like 10 trash bags and an entire day off but it finally got done and now she loves it and plays in her room and has begun to put her toys away.
It gets easier I have decluttered my little girl’s room three times out of the year. She is now 10 and doesn’t want any more of her Barbies and now her room is just her electronics it’s kind of sad.
Dear parents! When Your kids are very good behaviour all the time and always taking good care of their things, keeping their rooms very clean, loving their favorite things and want to make nice childhood collections of their things: books, clothes, toys, video games, clothes, DVDs and etc, then donataing is very wrong thing to do. If You have few space then storage boxes and shelves will help You out and Your kids will be very happy and thankful then, if they can keep their favourite things. Childhood things are very valuable and it is very sad, if they won’t see them anymore in their life. Every child should have the right to keep their things, if they can take good care of them all the time!!! Respectfully, Astra Viil
That's what I'm doing. My mom gave me all her books, toys, ect. From when she was a kid and she kept all of our things from our childhoods but the things she donated, were probably things her daughter outgrew and didn't want but I do agree. Its always good to have a little something from your childhood. Thanks for this comment! I agree so much with this
I may only be a kid but my 5 year old sister has no cleaning etiquette, so this was great motivation to clean her room! Thank you.😊
I’m right there with you mom! My daughter has so much STUFF!!! Time to declutter!!

Way too many toys out. I limited my three kids toys at one time. Otherwise, they were completely overwhelmed and I was overwhelmed with the mess. LOL
I just ordered new toy organizers and can’t wait to get them in!!🙌🏼
