I actually love the fact you decided to explore and show us some Plant Based spots to showcase it can actually be really good not only for the animals and the environment but also for our taste buds! So glad you got to talk with the people behind Vibe and The Plot too!
I'm drooling watching everything what you and Nate tasted. Everything looks delicious, the eatery offer their own personalized unique tasting. Hope you'll do more in future. Plus YES more vegan/vegetarian recipes ❤
Awesome video!! I appreciate all the hard work and social bravery that must go into setting up and shooting all these interviews! Also I love your color grading. Always such nice gentle tones. The spam kimchi dish looked delicious. Must try these spots next time I'm in the OC x
I loved this video! Amazing recommendations I'll have to try--I've been to Cafe Gratitude in San Diego while I was walking around and stumbled in, I had no idea there was a location in OC! And I hadn't heard of any of the other restaurants before this video! So excited
I grew up in Orange County, and this video made me realize how much healthier I used to eat while I still lived there. So many amazing options for flavorful vegan food that are still affordable, unlike LA. The Plot used to be a Native Foods Cafe & it looks like they kept the entire layout the same but gave it a makeover. It looks nice ! I’ll have to try it next time I’m down there. Native Foods Cafe used to be my favorite until they severely went down in quality and bumped up their prices heavily (most likely why they’re no longer there). Some other places you should definitely try out are: Active Culture (the San Clemente location since it has the full menu) The Stand in Laguna Beach Jan’s in Costa Mesa Green Leaf Cafe in Costa Mesa & Bear Flag & Wild Taco in Newport Beach aren’t vegan, but definitely some of the best seafood in OC hands down. Also, thanks for reminding me about Vibe Kitchen !! I remember when they first opened up and had been meaning to try it but I moved to LA before I had the chance.
I tried Vibe per your recommendation and got things your ordered - best vegan place I tried! Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏻 hope you can do a similar series in LA! ❤
I love to see plant based videos!! It would be cool to see this same video in the Bay Area or trying plant based fast food. In the Bay Area, Rooted is excellent.
I haven't come across your channel before, but I really enjoyed this. One thing I thought was interesting was the creme brulee recipe! I don't make it as much because of the sugar content, but it never occured to me that I could just take the sugar out of it and it would still work 😮
Thanks for the review! I want to try these places out. I've been to cafe gratitude in LA long time ago. Need to try it again. I heard of Vibe too! Haven't got the chance to try. And what?!!! The Plot place use to be Native Foods! I'm so happy there's another vegan place there. I definitely need to check it out. ❤
Lol. Do you know how many animals the die for you sub-par vegan meals? Trillions. Nothing cruelty free about vegan food. Even the seasoning you use to over seanson you vegan food billions of animals get murdered, Karen
ive been wanting to try cafe gratitude for a long time, and ive never heard of vibe. really motivated to try out these two places the next time i come back to OC :D related to the video edit: i love photography and exploring color grading, but in regards to food-related content, i think cinematic color grading (like the green tint + warm temperature) in your cafe gratitude and the camp clips) kind of throws me off because it makes the food look less appetizing/less real. this type of color grading is also usually associated with moody/melancholic films, which i think is the complete opposite of the type of energy that you give off in your videos. & the foods that you make in your other videos / the foods you ate today are always full of beautiful colors. it's a shame to see these colors muted out from color grading!
Jamie Oliver challenges himself to cook vegetarian or vegan a couple meals each. It forces him to be creative with vegetables. Maybe an idea for new recipes?
Im Pescatarian, i eat a lot of vegan meals however. My meat loving husband never misses the meat when a good vegan meal is made. I wish i lived in CA, we dont have many vegan options here in fl.
SPAM is highly processed, and highly processed meats are the easiest to replicate. See also: hot dogs and chicken nuggets :) Glad you enjoyed the food of my people.
Its wild to me he doesn't like vegetables. I get not liking unseasoned or not properly cooked ones but, theyre amazing when you cook them properly. But sea moss is really just high in fiber and it might lower your cholesterol thats really the only things I've found get backed by studies
I don't understand fake meat. There's nothing wrong with tofu. Miso soup is so good. People ruin it by trying to turn it into turkey and chicken nuggets. That bowl from Vibe looked amazing. I want to learn to cook stuff like that.
Generally, I don't like the idea of vegan copycats. I say invent a recipe, give it a name, and let it stand for itself. Otherwise people are constantly trying to make comparisons to the meat version. That said, If I were trying something like a "carrot fish taco" I'd want the chef who designed it to be a meat eater, because they'd have a better frame of reference for making something taste like actual fish.

Definitely try vibe if you’re in the area. I’m genuinely obsessed with it hahah 😄😄
Lol @ Nate, “bc it is a carrot. Probably one of the better carrots I’ve had.”😂😂😂

I also live in OC and just bookmarked Vibe! Love this series!!
Surprised by this video but love it!
So happy to hear!! So curious why you were surprised? It helps me to know if I should do more like this or less… 😊
@@honeysuckle my first thought was "she's not vegan". I am a vegan and I love when I see non vegans trying vegan foods.
Oh yay!! I honestly think they’re so good!
The food looks very colorful. I think a lot of us Americans don’t get in our daily amount of veggies & fruits.
Great video! I love your cardigans too… do you mind sharing where they are from? 🍋 🎀
I love the open mindedness. As a vegan for 6 years, I loved seeing you enjoy the cruelty free foods!
Lol. Do you know how many animals the die for you sub-par vegan meals? Trillions. Nothing cruelty free about vegan food. Even the seasoning you use to over seanson you vegan food billions of animals get murdered, Karen
I'm not vegan but do love it on occasion especially if you're not a veggie lover. Native Foods in San Diego makes a great vegan burger.
Everything looked Yummy 😊😊
where is the yellow sweater from !!

Thank you for making this video. As a vegan, I really appreciate it 🥹💕
Cool video, although sad you missed Seabirds! I’m not a vegan but have been a longtime fan of theirs
Ooo I didn’t expect a video like this
Would love to know why!! 😊

Food looks insanely good! I wish I could try spam fried rice from The Plot.
Try vegetarian Vietnamese restaurants in Westminster!
Bag details? My mom loves it!
U get the mtr mix of turmeric, strong but good for you when u feel sick , or see a Indian vlog to make by yourself
Cant believe this video doesnt have more views

All that food looked delicious
10:46 this is so clever because vegan fish substitutes never taste like fish!!!
The best I've had was when I made fried "fish" with banana flower
@@uhhhhh4748 omg I have to try that
Awesome video! I wish I had more vegan restaurants near me. We have about 4 in my city. Jealous! And I'm not even vegan.
check out Đông Hưng Viên Bakery in garden grove! vegan vietnamese bakery!
u r underrated
i dunno, for $60 that had better be a good plate of pasta, lol.
