Very entertaining vid. I think Portugal's 3 stadiums are my favorite as a group. That Zenit one is pretty sharp tho. I didn't realize how much I missed the X-Files til I heard the theme song. Lol. Overall, this was one of your better videos. Besiktas! Cheers, m8!
Hey mate! First I’d like to say that I really love your videos. They have the perfect combination of humour and information. But I have to update you a bit on Estádio José Alvalade (Lisbon, home of Sporting). The support beams for the roof have been only green for a few years now. There’s a lot less yellow on the exterior but also inside. The former yellow stairs are all green and most importantly the colourful seats are gone (thank God). Well, most of them. 99% of the fans hated them and the board finally decided to replace them with green seating. The side stands are completely green already. Only the stands behind the goals are yet to be changed, which will happen at the end of this season. The stadium will become “greener” than ever and that is fantastic. Sorry for this stupidly long comment. Keep these videos coming!
Lepzig and Porto stadium made me interested what are other stadiums that look similar...must be loads of them, maybe you could make one video just about that ...keep up the good work,i love this channel
@@TheWideWorldofStadiums this is probably the most insane & unpredictable season in english football history. so anyone would be forgiven for getting wrong predictions.
5:15 our stadium isn't yellow/colourful anymore. The main central seats' colours have been changed to green, aswell as the yellow stairs and structure. The project is to paint the entire stadium to green
I have to say you are one of my favorite TH-camrs at the moment and it's not just because I love stadiums, its also because I think you are marvellously funny and I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work
If I am not mistaken (but I am not 100% certain on this), Portugal's big 3 clubs (SL Benfica, SC Portugal, and Porto FC....the Eagles, Lions, and Dragons), all built their fantastic stadiums the same year. They are all 3 remarkable.
@@messsatsu4118 It's a good year for teams like Arsenal, Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Newcastle, and I'll bet even Forest fans are probably quite happy right now. What'll it look like over the next ten years?
I feel sometimes you don't really mention how amazing some stadiums are due to how close the fans are to the action. Some stadiums have ether a running track or a huge gap between the stands and the grass. While others like Juventus's stadium aren't overly large in capacity but the fans are very close to the action so it is much more fun as a spectator.
Dude, do you speak Spanish? I’m curious because every time a Spanish stadium came up, I was shocked to hear you pronounce their names flawlessly. I would prepare my ears just in case you’d slaughter the names and I was wrong. Anyway, this video was awesome. Cheers from US
2 facts as a belgian and Club Brugge fan: 1. Sorry for our stadium. We are now 15 years (!!) waiting for a new modern stadion with 40k supporters. We have the money and everything is ready to build it but its so difficult in Belgium to get a go for this kind of project. There are always people complaining and just 1 person can block everything. But we have good hope in 2 years we will finally have our new stadium :) 2. French fries are named like that because french speaking belgians were making and eating them but American troops thought they were french so that's why they are called french fries.
Eleda stadium is like 5:th biggest stadium in Sweden. There is a team called IFK Malmö in the third tear of football/soccer in Sweden they have a bigger stadium than Malmö FF which plays in the championship league. IFK Malmö plays at Malmö stadion with a capacity of 26,500 while elda stadium has 22,500. Biggest stadium in Sweden is friends arena with a capacity of 50,000
How about doing a video on National League grounds in England, the fifth tier of football pyramid. You'll come across the old ground in the world to be continuously used by the same team, 151years and counting!!
I would love you to do similar videos for the Europa League and maybe even the UEFA Conference. That would be a real contrast in stadium styles
Yep, definitely.
while you're at it, why not
Conference League would be very interesting 👀

Arsenal and Benfica stadium 😂
The people who designed Arsenal's stadium also designed Benfica's. That's why it looks so similar.
I'm just watching this video when Arsenal look to be the favourites to win the Premier League. How that Arsenal burn didn't age so well.
It backfired like the old fashioned cannon on their crest probably would.
