I have 2004 RAV4 2.0. Never had better car before! Off road, cross country and city driving 5/5. Also everything is working fine and car is that "old" that you can fix it by yourself. I just love my 2004 RAV4. But also I have never put her in to the really hard test - so she is great to so called normal drive, but if you need car to conquer new countries then you maybe should look another Toyota model. ;)
@elijahkasweshi4480 hi mate economy isn’t great I probably get about 250 miles on a full tank if I’m lucky but after paying out £1400 for full exhaust inc manifold and sensors one year ago I’m now getting the p0420 code coming back again so probably got a crap sensor. 👍🏻
Mate this was a great video, it’s not the toughest tracks but they look fun!! For a daily driver for most people it’s plenty useful in bad weather! And I’m considering one for the fun I love an underrated work horse! Good job!
Hi mate. Thanks for the response and totally agree it’s all good seeing a vehicle that’s made for off road being off road but when you see a vehicle not considered an off roader going through the rough stuff I personally am more impressed. Also I did get it stuck on that track but unfortunately didn’t video myself getting out of it but no doubt it will happen again and next time someone will be getting out and filming it. 😆 👍🏻
@@rav4offroad How does it compare to the first generation RAV4? The first GEN just looks so much better to me but they’re much harder to find in good condition in the United States and then the second GEN.
@williamperri3437 hi mate, I’ve never owned a first gen so I’m not too certain but the only things I’ve noticed is that the first gen had a manual centre diff lock where as the second gen uses lsd or torsen differential also I think the first gen’s were a little higher as standard. I also think that the first gen’s were slightly more capable off road mainly due to the manual diff lock. 👍🏻
@@rav4offroad Yes! Some of them Had locking diffs and LSD apparently. From my research there was two or three different packages. Apparently some years even had just 2WD in America. Hi mate. I haven’t been up there for a while or anywhere off road unfortunately as I’ve had a shoulder problem for a while but when its feeling a bit less painful I will have to get out there again. 👍🏻
@@rav4offroad fair enough that’s a shame. I’ve just got insa turbo tyres on mine and as good as they are noisy as hell on the road. Think your all terrain are best of both worlds
They’ll get you out of the shit, the problem I’ve found with mine is that they are good in mud in a straight line but if you wanna turn like out of ruts etc they got no biting power and I end up just going in a straight line but with the front wheels sliding sideways. That’s where those insa’s will do the job much better. 👍🏻
Hi mate, I have seen people build a bed in the back by removing the rear seats and building it in and leaving enough room under the bed for storage etc. would be better if it was a bit longer or would suit someone shorter than about 5ft 6 maybe. 👍🏻
Hi, it’s Salisbury plain training area. The army use it for training I think it’s approximately 28 square miles but stick to the byways and always check the live fire times and also if the area is red flagged don’t enter. 👍🏻
Hi mate I’m in Bristol too, if you head for the A360 there are a few ways to get into the plain usually the military crossings are byways but always check for red flags or red lights if at night. I usually turn left just before larkhill camp and go from there but make sure you got some form of map that shows byways. Bywaymap.com is a ok to start with but it hasn’t been updated in years but I think it’s still about 75% valid. O/s maps would be best or join glass and you get trailwise app then and that’s probably the best one around. Also make sure you have some sort of recovery gear with you just Incase. 👍🏻
Hi mate thanks for the interest they are Event ML398+ all terrain 235/70/16. Probably the cheapest a/t tyres but they have been better than expected and not too noisy either. 👍🏻
Hi mate. No rubbing, and it is lifted by 40mm but I should have fitted longer rear shocks but I used standard length so the back end has sagged quite bad. So I need to find 40mm longer rear shocks so the springs don’t get hammered too much. 👍🏻
Hi mate I’ve got 235/70/16 with no lift just new springs. Probably gonna change to 245/70/16 in the future but that’s about as big as you can put on. 👍🏻
Hello your majesty 😆 no but seriously it’s a work in progress thing and also abilities mine and the car.
