Another great lecture , Thanks Jared . I watch Cramer maybe once a week for a few minutes just to confirm I am doing the opposite of what he suggests , so far that trick works great .

Just started trading on eToro, just several hundred £. It’s been a learning experience. I just stumbled upon the idea of morning gap trading and watching the news. You have opened my eyes…..people are generally sheep and they will follow those trading on emotion……play the charts, study the charts, I get it. Fab lesson thanks

Reality check. I almost turned it off when he started describing all the things I have done wrong. Still do wrong after years... But I play to win and tough love is hard to come by. He made this to help us and I appreciate it. ✌🏼

That’s what I love about him. I have no problem admitting I need “tough love” lol the truth is uncomfortable but it’s a must. He also has great teaching skills. He gets through.

Jared, thank you for telling it like it is about trading. I am a brand new trader and there is so much bs out there. I can tell that you have much experience and are passionate about trading as a lifestyle. Not only for yourself but I see your passion in wanting others to be successful. I am also passionate about trading, not just for the money, but because if you follow the rules of a good plan and execute with precision and accuracy, you can become successful in anything you pursue. Everyone that I know wants to be successful.
Some people find luck in life. Many say that it's because of their skill or knowledge. They do NOT post about their real life ' losses ' because of their ego. Thank you for your straightforwardness, honesty, no bs approach and passion towards trading. It shows!.
I was taught early in life to ' Do the Right Thing no matter what. ' If you do the right thing the first time, you do not have to do it a second time. This is the way I am approaching my journey into trading. Subscribed and grateful that you are a guide on this exciting journey that is called ' trading '. Continued success in all you do.

This is it. This is the dude to watch. I’ve seen a lot of folks pushing their miracle snake tonic onto their TH-cam viewership, but not here. Funny, insightful, and incisive. No BS.
I wish I had seen this when I started out two years ago. It hasn’t changed my life-I have made the mistakes, and occasionally still do-but Jared puts thoughts I have into words, while holding me accountable to myself when I decide to gamble. Preach, my man!

Money & Trade Management, Discipline to follow those rules.... you hit it right on the nail. And once you learn that, you still have to keep studying and analyzing daily to keep your tools sharp. I trade cents here and cents there and keep my numbers small and grow slowly. Perfectly happy there....

It's trades like XPEV that I'm so skittish of because I look at that and think"it's not going to go higher; it's going to hit that high and come back down". Seems like that happens to me everytime. Still learning, but sadly I found PTS too late and am bagholding right now. Thats leaving me with no other money I'm willing to risk at the moment. Study, study, study for now.

Thank Jared for your straight forwardness. Just want you to know, I hear everything you say and I am listening. Decided in the beginning of 2020 (the pandemic) being semi-retired, I wanted to learn trading to supplement my income. Paper traded up until this August 2021. Have a $7,500 account. You said paper trade for a few months and then trade real money. You said I would lose, and I have, and learned from each loss. Have made 16 trades, lost 12 won 4 = 25% win rate; I'm good with that. Down $395 over 3 months. There is a learning curve most definitely. My goal as many newbies will be is to take it very slow and try to make winners and not money in the beginning and continue my education. My risk/reward = 0.39. Hopefully in 2022 I can report better numbers and you can start a new section "When will the Sanity stop" with people making good trades?

My goal is make trading just like any other old job. I think we as traders have to grow out of always thinking about emotions, writing journals etc and just trade. Think of your regular job, did you have to reflect or talk to a psychologist every week to go over your day ? Does a surgeon have to journal and introspect after every routine surgery ? Anyways that my goal.

I don’t understand this. Is this desperation? Is this cognitive dissonance? I’m new and I am learning EVERYTHING I can before I put money into a real account. I trade on td paper money and go to all the people I can find who are successful and learn from them. I’m afraid to lose lots of money like these people, I know losing is part of the game, so that’s why I’m trading on a sim. To learn how to lose, properly, and how to win. I haven’t had a red day since my first green day two weeks ago (I started about 3-4 weeks ago), I’m up over $10k and I still won’t put real money in an account. My mom even said she’d put $5k in a joint account for me to use. No. I know I’m not ready and I have so much more to learn. I’m determined to be in the small percentage of winners and I know it takes a long time to get there.
