He has the professional trading strategies course that comes with a book. I agree on his videos. One of the best channels I've found. All too often new traders seem to flock to the get rich quick schemes rather than realistic videos like Jared's.
Years ago when I was "playing" the stock market I lucked out and bought a few thousand shares of a stock that was trading around $0.11 - I held the stock for a few years and it actually went up to $22.00+/share. I mentioned to an acquaintance, who was heavily involved in the market, that I was going to sell. He jumped all over me and told I can't sell because I will get killed on taxes. I had an appointment with my accountant a few weeks later so I held and didn't sell. What a mistake - before my appointment with the accountant the stock dropped like a two ton rock and never stopped until it went to nothing. Like my account said you could have sold, paid taxes and pocketed some money or you could loose it all. Since then I don't listen to "friends" and I learned about stop loss and trailing stop loss and am continually learning - that's why I am here watching videos :-)
Well.. Is it wrong? You realise... If people held their stocks, they wouldve been worth more now than ten years back. Sure some stocks never recover, but most stocks will eventually get back on their feet if they have struggled. Probably not most stocks, probably most stocks. You can't say patience and nerves of steel aint important? Sure... If you get news on it going bankrupt, then get rid of it. But nah, i wouldve pulled the plug on sndl at 5% loss
@Zabulon this is a hard one to get my head around. As it makes sense on paper to buy dips - but I guess instead we should always be buying on the right structure.
@@directfromtheair5888 Honestly, I don't understand this attitude we have toward taxes. Think of it this way: would you rather lock in profits and pay taxes or would you rather lose money? These buy setups work well I use to trade only one set up that was my own startegy using previous day high and consolidation for at least 2 days but after going through your videos there is lot to learn.

Thanks Jared, I appreciate your lessons!!! The pullback in an uptrend is also called a 2nd entry or 2 legged pull back and is specially good to take when the entry bar is crossing the 20 EMA.
I really like the approach you are taking in explaining all possible entries including those that would not work. Most educators only talks about the hindsight trade but you take the extra mile at explaining things as they would develop during the trading day. I just subscribed to the channel and looking for more great videos.
Seems like you changed your position on stop hunts. Could've sworn you said that they aren't that common in previous videos. Never the less, fantastic video! Very Relevant for these times in the market.
Great videos Jared learning a lot. One question if you can answer or anyone else i noticed tesla stock doing a spike in after hours trading going up or down 150-200 on 2-5k shares and then back to normal range price. What causes this spike in a short time frame (5 min.candle) it has done it 3 times in the last 7 days?
Awesome video. Been a subscriber for about a year now. So much great and FREE knowledge. And the way you walk through the psychology one goes thru when entering/being in a trade is bar none! Feels like you're inside my head hahaha but seriously, so helpful. 🙌🏻
Thank you for this video - so informative, and learnt so much in just 45 minutes - thank you for this amazing content - it's really helpful for new traders and showing actual charts and your analysis added is fantastic
It's interesting looking back at the three-bar play vids. You said that 83% of the time (or something like that) if you retook a stopped-out trade, that it would work. I wonder if that is a measurable indicator in a trading strategy that you should widen your stoploss target
The bad situations you outline are a good example of being a deer in the headlights where the trader didn't have a plan or know what to do. On cutting my losses I think of the quote: “He who fights and runs away May live to fight another day; But he who is battle slain Can never rise to fight again.” ― Oliver Goldsmith
I loved your videos, learned more from you in 1 day than I did with other youtube videos in months, What is BT and NBB stands for? I see some of your lower timeframe has moving average but some videos you don't used, do you use that as criteria when you enter a trade on lower timeframes 2' 5' 15'?
One of the things that been bugging me about buy setups recently is trying to get a good execution on them. In hindsight you can see the chart shows a green bar breaking above the previous bar by 50 cents or whatever, but the reality is in real time that 50 cent pop happened in half a second. If you put your limit buy one cent over that COC candle and it pops 50 cents you get completely skipped or if you do a buy market order to make sure you get in you generally get filled at the top of that candle. In either case you either miss out on the trade or your stop is higher than where it should have been which can sometimes get tagged.
The low of 55.79 that VZ bounced off of during the open on 2/17/21 was the premarket low, 56.50 was the premarket high. I set my TradeStation charts to draw lines for the yesterday OHLC. In the mornings I'll change the chart sessions to premarket so it will draw the premarket OHLC lines for entry signals to buy or short. As the day progresses I'll change the chart session back to regular if the stock trades above or below the premarket high or low. Works great.
As a new stock holder and trader as of this week, I’m new and still laughing at the insanity🤣. I have many many many things to learn so thank you, and I won’t be featured here with any luck lmao

The trick is to trade those patterns inside of a strong trend or range, your best entries are always close to the EMA and trading toward the trend with a second entry pattern.
I agree. Much of what is currently going on with memes is sheer bagholding. People bought in at the top on the advice of influencers on youtube..and much of the same people telling people to buy and hold have already gotten out.
hey jared have a look at ANF on the daily it's up 6 days in a row i'm thinking this will drop soon may be a short worth looking at i put it on my watch list and i set a alert for a movav cross

That trade (buy setup) @16:11 is actually a second entry long, extremely powerful pattern, but you usually only want to trade them at the key entry points of support or resistance. Looks like a long trap as it would of stopped out if you entered on green candle with a bottom tail.. Then immediately gone higher which would of been massively frustrating. I personally only prefer to trade those at the bottom of a trend, going long or the top of a trend, going short, but with the same second entry pattern and good signal bar. If the price is kind of in the middle of nowhere, like this one, I'd rather just skip as the risk is much greater here and not worth it in my opinion.
