love your vids because they remind me why i'm studying and suffering through a-levels. i know oxbridge isn't the be all end all, but you are so lucky to have made it this far and it makes me proud, which is weird to say because i don't know you but it's true. i'm so proud of how hard you work, and it makes me want to do the same. i could have this life, i just need to apply myself. so thank you, i guess, for showing me it's possible. seeing someone like me doing it makes me believe i can do it too. wishing you the best of luck as always babe. you've done so well, and i hope to too xx
YAY YANRANS UPLOADED EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOUR DOING ,ITS YANRAN VIDEO TIMEEE!!!,always buzzing to watch your videos and cant wait to see more, please take care and all the best :)))p.s thanks for feeding my procrasination ;)
5 mins ago?! so glad to be early! Your vlogs are so calming and just one of the best on the internet! Im always blown away by your style of editing. You're going to be big one day :)
I love these videos so much!! I want to study English at Cambridge, so not at all similar, but they really make me appreciate the privilege of studying and remind me of what's at the end of it all. You have a beautiful soul :)
I somehow didn't realise that once i started cambridge i might recognise cambridge vloggers 😭I've definitely seen you in lectures before i remember being annoyed that you could be so cool and also be cambridge smart 😒Anyways I hope you have a great lent!
Hii isabelle! I love your channel sm! I just wanted to ask about some physics revision tips. I am currently studying a level physics and am finding it tricky. Im in year 13 and did watch your physics video. And remember you saying you can always try some exam questions from other exam boards. But, do you recommend doing past papers from other exam boards too? Did you do past papers from other exam boards? I only ask because my physics teacher recommend doing every past papers question you can find for physics. However the volume of questions seems overwhelming, thus - in your opinion- is it really necessary to do every single exam board, every single past paper question you can find to achieve an A/A*?
i personally did every single past paper from every exam board - when you've done the course fully i think there's so little difference in the actual content that it's rare that you'd come across a question you couldn't do from a different exam board. however, it is not necessary to do so much imo! i did ppqs every weekend so over the course of 2 years (prob 80 weeks) i ran through a good few papers, so i felt like i needed the questions from other exam boards. if your course content knowledge is strong and you've done all the past papers for your exam board, in theory there's no reason why you shouldn't get top marks
also worth considering that once you've done all the content revision and ppqs for your exam board then the rate of return for the extra time you put in is pretty low - if you really are set on the A* then doing the extra questions may be worth your time (for me for peace of mind also), but for a lot of people that simply isn't worth it which is totally viable too
@@yanr4n hm yeah that totally makes sense. Thank you for explaining this :) Did you do only the past papers from the new spec, eg 2017 and onwards , or did you do old spec from the other exam boards too
@@JPatel24 i think it's worth prioritising doing new spec for more exam boards as the exams definitely have gotten harder with more time over them all (I found that the old exams didn't tend to have the tough worded high mark questions as often). old spec can be good though especially if you want something more casual
@@yanr4n yeah that makes sense. Which resources did you use to make your flashcards/ base your content knowledge on, eg solely your class notes from school, cgp guide, kerboodle physics book? Or was it sort of a mix of a lot of things
love love this video sm !!! i don’t know if you will reply, im in year 12 atm and i have this habit of rushing myself and learning the content before the teacher goes through it which is bad bc i basically just don’t have time to do other things.. i want to ask when did ur school finish all the content and when did u properly start revising? i make flashcards and use them as pre-reading for school but honestly i will get through the content either way.. i want to do other things but i just don’t seem to have time what are ur thoughts?
at my school we finished all the a-level content in about march time and i did my revision alongside, but only covering the stuff we'd learnt in class. so in a given week i would primarily be going over the content from the previous week and doing textbook questions/ppqs by topic with the occasional exam paper. do you feel like you're worried that your school isn't going to finish the content in time?
Im 4-5 Months away from A levels, can I ask For Physics Questions, out of Exam builder, Pmt, umutech etc.. what you used, and what i should use and how i should use it from now till my exams, i have 1 1/2hr that im willing to spend on physics every day till my exam, im currently At an B, but that was on Year 1 content. So im kind of stressed
sorry for the slow reply!! i personally used PMT and it seemed to do me just fine because i think they have the most resources so easier to just navigate one site. i used to do study session on either content, where i normally used the blurting technique on a whiteboard, or exam practice, where i just rattled through ppqs by topics. normally in a week i had a chosen physics topic to work on, then on the weekend i would do a full past paper or two
have two exams tom but i just couldnt resist not watching until then. also you looked so good in that black dress, but lets be for real when do you not look good.
