Just bought a ninja air fryer , iv always made lemon cake in the oven but the air fryer recipe and instructions are much better and just as good so thanks
I've made this tonight in my 2 tala 1lb tins and it's turned out so well. Just waiting for it to cool down to have a slice or two 😋 Thanks so much for this recipe and the air fryer instructions 😊
Hi Kerry, the cake looks delicious. 😋 I was taught to add the drizzle when the cake was still hot/ warm, that might be how you get the white crunch on top. I don’t suppose it really matters which way as it will still taste delicious. Love your videos & I love your brain fog moments, makes everything so natural & proper at home cooking for the family. Xx
Thank you - I’ve been wanting to try and make a cake in my Air Fryer. Mary Berry uses granulated sugar for her drizzle to make a frosty, crunchy topping and her recipe calls for it to go straight on the cake when it is warm out of the oven! 🤤
That looks really yummy. I really didn't know how much an air fryer could do until I found your channel, thanks so much! Have nearly saved up enough to buy one.
Tip out of a 1950 Be-Ro cook book. no vanilla required. 100 gram granulated suger----juice of 1 lemon, mix to gether and while the cake has cooled a little, spoon the mixture on top and spread, it will dry as a crunchy sweet lemon crust. Don't poke holes in it, that's a American idea and makes is to sloppy. Cheers, Rob. xx.
Ooooh! The crusty end bit oooooh! A work colleague used to bring in his Nans legendary lemon drizzle cake ( thats how everyone described it!) there was a strict rota of people to get the knobbly end gorgeous taste . Thanks Anthony thanks Kerry, and thanks Anthony's Lovely Nan....🎉😊
Little tip. When the cake is baked, take it out of the tin as soon as it's cooled a bit because sometimes it can get a soggy bottom. Put it on any sort of wire rack so air can circulate around it.
Ido the cake test and it comes out clean. I leave it to cool then turn it over and the underneath isn't cook. Maybe I think it might be the silicone cake case. I have tried a few times but still does it x
@@susanbrussels2704 I've never used silicone. Prefer metal. I think having a little bit of space under the cake while it's baking should make a difference because the heat comes from above so needs to be able to circulate around the container, the same as in a regular oven. I've ordered a Ninja air fryer but there is a waiting list so haven't had a chance to try my theory out yet....

Fab video! I use caster or granulated sugar for the drizzle and pour on when cake is still warm. Gives a nice crunchy top. Please can I be in the draw for the picky up thing-a-me-bob 😀
Hi Kerry. I hope you’re getting lots of new subscribers as I’ve recommended the channel a number of times on a couple of FB Airfryer groups. I’ve tipped people off about the idea of using a handful of basic recipes then adapting. I’ve just converted a classic Victoria sponge recipe to chocolate fudge by subbing 1/4 of the SR flour for cocoa powder & adding chocolate chips & fudge pieces. That in turn would adapt to a Black Forest gateau by sandwiching with black cherry conserve & cream. During 60yrs of marriage I was a sporadic cook but, now a widow, you and the airfryer have converted me to someone who regularly bakes my own cakes (your lemon drizzle recipe was to die for 😋). Keep on keeping on 😃

Hi Kerry. Are the white liners especially for the air fryer. I’ve got the beige colour ones & ,I don’t like them as they curl upwards over what you are cooking. So where did you buy the white ones. I’ve had them before but can’t find them now. Love the lemon cakes, well I love all what you make. 👌💕👍x

Hi.just found your channel a few days ago. I have an hairdryer but have used it very little. But after watching this video, something you said about pre heating the hairdryer before cooking as it stops it rising too much. (Am I correct).? Wanted to know this as I make a lot of different breads. So would this be a good idea to apply to making bread in the airfryer?. Was worried the bread would rise too much and start to touch the eliment. Many thanks for your easy to follow recipes and at low cost too. Brilliant. Look forward to watching more. Best of luck😉 Dee. Looked lovely what a super person you are. I'm going to try pre heating my air fryer as I am struggling with getting cakes the right shape!!!!. I always use granulated sugar for the drizzle makes a lovely crunchy topping
Looks gorgeous,!!!! my favourite cake, I'm gluten free would you know if I would use same amounts of the ingredients? Can't find any gluten free recipes for the air fryer. Havecsubscribed
Love watching your cooking/baking videos especially this lemon drizzle cake 😋 I have a Tower 10-in-1 air fryer oven, not drawers, so will give this a go this week. I subscribed recently, as soon as I found you, so thank you for giving us confidence to try things 😊
I would love the picky upper thingy ☺ please. The lemon 🍋 drizzle looks absolutely lush, cannot wait to give it a go in mine. I came across your channel by accident as I was literally scared of my air fryer, had it a 10 days now. You make cooking with it look so easy, and I will be trying everything that you've made. Keep the vlogs coming they are fantastic. .
Aww that's a lovely thing to say, thanks so much Loo, I was like you, completely new to it when I first got it - it'll show in the early vlogs lol. I love it, esp love not using the oven beast!😄 added you to the draw, I've actually got 2 spare so 2 chances to win👌💕
Iv never done the lemon Drizzle. Cake. Sometime at a later date I’ll pull this vlog up again and try it myself hopefully they’ll turnout as nice as yours look
Hi I’m going to try this air fryer one later. I make a lovely one in main oven but prefer using my ninja these days. The thing I do different is I pour the topping on just after cake comes out of oven after having pricked it. Thank you for a clear demonstration ❤️☕️🐸🐸🐸🐸
It came out ok. I just used a larger loaf tin and made one. I had to put another 7 to 10 mins on cooking time. I did use the icing sugar and lemon like you but I personally prefer Demerara Sugar and Lemon Juice. I’ve taken a photo but don’t know how to add it to my comment.
Lovely looking cake results. I add a good tablespn of Lemon Extract to my mixture and use all the juice mixed with granulated sugar for the topping, nice and crunchy and drizzle on whilst the cake is still warm. I usually get in a bit of a sticky mess but it is lemon 'dribble' cake. Please can I be added for a chance to have the grabber too.thanks.
I should have added granulated sugar to the lemon juice Emily like yours! That would have had a better result - I now know thank you for the tip💕💕you're added btw👍👍
I noticed that you added 1/2 t. baking powder even though it's not listed in the recipe and even though you are using self-raising flour. Am wondering if you have made it since without adding the baking powder -- and whether you have since made a version where you used a spatula to even out the batter in the pans. I've been struggling to make one in the oven and have not been able to get the center to keep from falling. Looks delicious!
That looks lovely, will definitely try this. I make banana cake every week so this will be a nice change. Would love the grabber it might help my hands, if I'm still in with a chance. If not could you kindly tell me where you got it please 🤗

Looked lovely what a super person you are. I'm going to try pre heating my air fryer as I am struggling with getting cakes the right shape!!!!. I always use granulated sugar for the drizzle makes a lovely crunchy topping
Aww thank you Lynne💕💕I made the orange cakes again today, and used gran sugar for the drizzle, perfecto😀👍💕
Looks gorgeous,!!!! my favourite cake, I'm gluten free would you know if I would use same amounts of the ingredients? Can't find any gluten free recipes for the air fryer. Havecsubscribed
A chocolate and orange version of this cake is also delicious . Thanks for another great video.
That sounds delish Mary😋💕💕I need to look that recipe up👍
Thank you. I have your video. Gonna try that 2morrow.
That's lovely, hope it went well!!💕💕
Hi
Please could you tell me the quantity for flour sgst and butter? Looks delicious!
Love watching your cooking/baking videos especially this lemon drizzle cake 😋
I have a Tower 10-in-1 air fryer oven, not drawers, so will give this a go this week.
I subscribed recently, as soon as I found you, so thank you for giving us confidence to try things 😊

Looks delicious, we could nearly smell the lemon whilst watching. We're going to try this on the weekend.
Aw thank you Mike🍋💕 it was really delicious
Cake! Who doesn’t love cake? Lovely video as always.
Thank you Ian😄🍋🍋💕
Try adding granulated sugar to the lemon juice and drizzling over cake, you get a slightly crunchy topping.
Hi thanks for sharing enjoyed your vlog .cake looks delicious. X
Hi Kerry, where did you get the bread tins that you use, they appear the perfect size. 👍
Love lemon drizzle but I have a round airfryer so could I do this in the a 7" round tin but for how long?
Looks lovely I am going to have a go I would love the pan holder. Thank you for the videos I look forward to them.
Thank you Margaret☺️💕added you to the draw👍👍I've actually got 2 spare so there's 2 chances to win👌
would you share where you got the grabber thing please
Thank you Chris🍋💕I bet it will👌👌
Hi, sorry I can’t find your name but that lemon drizzle cake was to die for, thank you so much.
Hi Lynne👋😀💕that's fab! Thx so much, kerry xx
I'll try your method next time😃👍thank you for watching
It came out ok. I just used a larger loaf tin and made one. I had to put another 7 to 10 mins on cooking time. I did use the icing sugar and lemon like you but I personally prefer Demerara Sugar and Lemon Juice. I’ve taken a photo but don’t know how to add it to my comment.
🤣🤣🤣the surprise with your oooooo hmmmmm at the end always cracks me up! Of course anything you cook will be amazing, my little domestic goddess xxxxxx
Aww Michele lol you are lovely💕💕💕
the amazing tool also known as Thunderbird 2s lifting rig 😇
😄Thunderbirds are goooooo🚀
Looks sooooooo good a nice bit of custard over it Mmm 🍰🧁💕🤗
Oh yes, custard a great idea😋😋💕
i would love the picky uppy thing please, love your videos too
Lovely looking cake results.
That’s how I make mine use granulated sugar and add when warm 😍
I should have added granulated sugar to the lemon juice Emily like yours! That would have had a better result - I now know thank you for the tip💕💕you're added btw👍👍
hi do you take the trays out of the Ninja before putting the cakes in or does it not matter
Hi Kerry lemon drizzle cake my favourite well done you 😀😀😀
Thank you Kim🍋💕🍋💕🍋💕
Hi Kerry, loved this cake, I will try it myself. You are a pleasure to watch so warm and friendly
Thanks so much Xena😊💕

Thank you Kitty💕I'm so sorry but that's been given away, I got it from here, cheap as chips, you've just got to wait 3 or more weeks m.aliexpress.com/item/1005004334145924.html?ug_edm_item_id=1005004334145924&pdp_npi=2%40dis%21GBP%21%EF%BF%A13.43%21%EF%BF%A12.27%21%21%21%21%21%40214110a816723085142683715d618e%2112000028796884881%21edm&edm_click_module=item_detail&tracelog=rowan&rowan_id1=aeug_edm_53896_1_en_US_2022-12-29&rowan_msg_id=9283biz_search_product%3A0%3A0_572835634%24933ce193c18441a1a81795e77314deb7&ck=in_edm_other&gatewayAdapt=Pc2Msite
