Forget about old content, what about NEW content?! The reagent pouch, potion storage, and the plethora of all the new bugs that were introduced with the new 'QOL' mobile updates. Menu entry swapper being the most obvious one.
@Dylan-oe9eq It's a clunky design that doesn't incorporate itself into the rest of the bank at all. It's riddled with bugs, and caused the 7th rollback in history.
@ I haven’t had any issues with it other than yeah the roll back. It doesn’t incorporate well with some runelite plugins, but that’s the plug-in devs fault not jagex.
@@Dylan-oe9eq Certainly not true. It's entirely Jagex's fault because the potion storage doesn't incorporate it's contents with the rest of the bank period. Plugins aside, you cannot put potions stored in the storage into any bank tabs. It makes it such a large inconvenience.
@ nah it’s the plug-in devs fault. I have potions in my bank tags now while keeping everything in the potion storage. I don’t want my potions in my actual tabs, thought that’s what the potion storage was for. If you want them there, take them out of the storage lol
Really loving all rambles and casts man. I hope you are enjoying putting all these out because I know we are all enjoying listening. Using the Reddit posts as conversation topics is awesome. I don’t use Reddit so I never see any of the stuff on there
Hey Saeter big fan of the pods and these rambles I actually came back to the game about 6 months ago after years of being off so your content has been wonderful to learn everything I’ve missed since being gone, so much info and I love the osrs community. I think these rambles are fantastic and although I doubt I’ll catch you live often, I do like that you do them live I enjoy hearing other players chime in with opinions etc. I do like the solo rambles but I think it does make for a better conversation to have people chatting if they’re not just trolling lol. Thanks again for all you do for the osrs community your content has really helped me out a lot with this HUGE game.
i seriously don't get what people want from the game when they ask for rc/agility/mining/fishing rate xp buffs rc gets like what 160k if you do daeyalt lavas and something like 105k at zmi? in what world does that skill need an xp rate buff? it's the same for the other ones listed - agility is like 90k doing lowefficiency sepulchur and around 100k if you sweat it, mining gets similar rates with blast mine and volcanic mine, fishing has drift net which is one of the most braindead activities in the game and gets you like 85k fishing/100k hunter xp per hour like i'm sorry 2007scape whiner but even if they doubled all those xp rates, you would still do nothing but complain constantly that the skills suck because you don't like skilling but feel entitled to a bunch of rewards you clearly don't deserve also bank loadouts completely break skilling - efficiently banking IS a skill and it rewards people who have better mechanics, to be more efficient with their loadout management if you want to bank fast, stop being lazy and sort your goddamn bank, it doesn't take rocket science to make a decent bank layout, especially with all of the overpowered 3pc plugins that do 90% of the work for you
I think the main focus needs to be more on *quality* new updates. The bugs and poor design between heuy and mixology most recently were pretty worrying. That being said if we're talking about old content, I'd want to see the wildy and pvp sorted out. Content doesn't get much older than that, and nothing else is in such a comparatively awful state
I'm usually more in favour of adding variants (phosanis) or just straight new bosses instead of changing old ones too much. Desert elite is one of the best diary rewards and how lame would it be if we reworked every "click boss, wait, eat when needed" bosses.... wouldn't be very oldschool. Kq, kbd, thermy, kraken have all earned their spot in our game, sire does need some changes though
My biggest issue with sire is that its drops are completely irrelevant for its slayer level now. I'm 84 slayer and already have a zhasta, zaxe, and burning claws, what use do I have for an abyssal bludgeon or dagger? They're literal downgrades to gear that's easier to get now. Also, even if I wanted to kill it, I'll need to roll a slayer task for it, and that's the final nail in the coffin. Slayer bosses age poorly with the current requirement to be on task for them.
Glad you mentioned the wyvern/kbd freezing. I was just thinking that there needs to be a consumable scroll to prevent it from happening like there is with abby demon teleports. Not fun, doesn't increase the difficulty, just annoying.
In regards to the whole bank loadout conversation: I don't know if it's me being a new player, only started playing the game seriously over the past year (2100 total), but bank tags have warped people's mind when it comes to banking. I recently went on a one-week vacation for the holidays and felt like a complete noob trying to navigate my bank on mobile. I do agree that there is some charm and skill expression to zigzagging through a well-organized bank tag, and if youre just that organized, your bank in general. But I think having a couple presets for those just starting out or playing on official client would do wonders.
Adjusting Chambers drop rates, while removing personal point cap to remove the validity of boosting could be a huge QoL. Its such a dated grind at this point for the average person.
Pretty sure you get already get a better purple chance doing cms than 300 toas. I have like 50 purples from cox idt it’s that rare. They also just made the raid quicker and easier to run… so big no from me
@@Tonypollyoly 300 ToA ≠ CoX CM. I don't believe those are even remotely close to equivalent. I don't know any geniune grinder doing anything less than 400s. I have done almost 3k CMs between my accounts, and believe it genuinely needs some adjustment to bring it in line with other raids.
1-click gear+inventory loadouts could be really good for the flow of the game imo. Especially at places like TOB, where you might flip between different roles (layouts) every couple of raids.
This is the only ramble im 50/50 about I understand people want change but why change the og bosses? Seems like they just want the easy way out imo but nice love the ramble!
Just getting the bank tags and bank tag layouts into the main game would already be great. Maybe a better way to organize and selecting those tags, but simply adding it like the plugin does would be enough for me.
Attas priority list: Kronos until bucket Then do iasor until all 10 herb patches, all 4 disease free, AND resurrect crops - then its attas (ty wiki herb run calc for helping with this) I also didn't know that word meant pickles
As someone who maxed in rs3 and maxing in osrs, gear presets for even just skilling saves so much time. just think about making super combats by banking with a 1 click withdraw. You still have to do all the important stuff but it can remove unnecessary guessing or mistakes doing something monotonous in a game that you already have to do the same thing thousands of times
To fix sire they should decrease ventilation hp, increase the stun duration, give us a weapon that always hit max on vents, make the entire room smaller so you need to run less vent to vent. Finally speed up animations transitioning sire phase to phase and we all good
KQ is a group boss but everyone solos it lol. I think it's because it's got horrible loot and the people who would be interested in its drops often still need the diary done! I'm an end of the end game player and the only reason I ever do kq is for pet chance, and yeah I do shadow with step unders and ring/Ely switches.
Issue with Sire is killing vents doesn't feel like killing Sire, and it's forced upon the player. Idea: If killing vents instead reduced his defense (say he was given a massive defense stat to start), people would be happier to kill them to min max the boss. And it would be interesting because then there's a question of how many vents you should kill to optimize it, based on the accuracy of your weapon and how many claw/vw/whatever specs you can use that fight.
In a similar vein, Duke prep doesn't feel like battling Duke and also is forced upon the player (ik how go tick manip so I don't mind it bc it's quick). If we took the same approach with Duke, where the non combat part gave an advantage to the player so it felt beneficial and was compelling to do, people would stop complaining about it. An idea for that one, maybe Duke is given way more HP. Again he starts sleeping but after he reaches a certain HP threshold he wakes up. While he's asleep he has some kind of defensive ability, maybe just straight up way more defense, or maybe he caps your weapons damage (making the scythe good, and the upcoming melee crush weapon that deals 2 hits in one). While he's asleep he takes a ton of damage from the potions you can brew, and when he wakes up he takes way less damage. Then to fix another issue, rather than these potions being automatically deleted every fight, which doesn't feel immersive, they have a timer before they spoil. A spoiled potion is still usable but it can only be used for half damage. Just some creative problem solving. I've actually already green logged both Duke and Sire so my motivation isn't for my own gain lol. I love optimization so I had fun with both as they were, but I can see the issues people raise are valid enough.
Buff xp rates for the slowest of skills. Doesn't make sense how we can get 10X more experience from certain skills, and agility mining and rune crafting are stuck in the stone age
Ive always felt like the annoying long runs to a boss make some sense when it is new to gatekeep the shiny new items a little bit behind a run back if you die learning etc but honestly after a few months an agility shortcut should just be standard. It could even fit the lore a bit. New boss cave? Have a caved in section with some NPCs trying to clear it, a few months later the NPCs are gone, its a bit cleared, and an agility scramble has been added to get through the new small gap that was created. We can stop gate keeping the dragon chain and d pick from KQ 😅 its not new and shiny anymore. Let people use the shortcut without diary
I've got a couple, let's change some Tithe Farm stuff to make it a reasonable method to farm wines of Zamorak. And let's revamp mining respawn rates. Maybe enough so that mining mithtil/adamant/runite ore was a not horrible way of getting that ore? I just feel like the gathering skill for mining ore should be like, a viable method for gathering ore... It's never going to be an insane money maker and it wouldn't change the best xp rates.
