If memory serves both Silent Hill and resident evil, have played around with the idea of 2nd second-person camera angle where you control a person being followed by an NPC with a camera and that's your viewing angle. honestly, it's a cool idea that I'd love to see explored more.
In the Witcher 3 I didn't romance either; i was a serious witcher! Then at the end I got made fun for it... Same happened in Balder's Gate ... "You know you can get more intimate with your fellow travelers, right?" "Dont bother me with your trivial emotions!"
I romanced Yen, but avoided the sex. It seemed like the right choice to hang with the boys and get drunk. Long-term, it made the ending of Blood and Wine when Yen shows up to just live at the vineyard feel perfect.
A second person perspective in a game would be hilariously paradoxical. Essentially trying to play by viewing only a reaction camera of your self, which will inevitably lead to you just recursively making faces at yourself and putting down the controller.

You can't change it when you are used to it. I learned it from a joystick aswell when playing a x wing game. Your controller stick is just a mini joystick so you use it like you are used to it.
I was born inverted, it totally made sense in 90's gaming with D-Pads. And then a friend showed me how to play straight a few years later on mouse and keyboard on PC... I've basically forgotten the upside down inverty world since then, and I'm happy with it now on PS5 (and PC).

So I say his unless I find time to read the books, or Yennefer does something to really catch my attention it's going to be hard not choose Triss. And my guess is most of the players that choose Triss is for the same reason, we already have a connection with Triss.
I prefer to be the stealth character, but that depends on the game’s programming. If an NPC bumps into another NPC and then security immediately comes after me, I tend to lose the desire to try and sneak.

Regarding the playstation's position; Do what you want but I will say that there seem to have been reports of people getting an increased amount of overheating issues with the vertical stand, due to the fact that the thermal paste can't evenly distribute if ya keep it stood up for too long. The other six were all things associated with single player games, and there I do have a very strong opinion: The right way to do things is however you want. It's a single player game. What you do does not affect other people, so lower the difficulty to very easy and turn on god mode; park your character in just the right place to trigger an infinitely spawning enemy that your pet can easily kill, and go do something else for a few days while the game plays itself and levels you up; set the game to the highest difficulty and restore your checkpoint every time you take damage. Play it however you want. Do people complain that other people binged part one of Cobra Kai season 6 the day it came out, while others (yours truly) are waiting for all three parts to drop so we can binge the entire season at once? Do people complain that other people read a chapter a day or binge an entire book every Saturday morning? Why does anyone care how other people consume entertainment? Last thought: Inverted isn't "up for down and down for up" it's "forward for down and back for up". Unless you hold your controller with the front pointed towards the ceiling, which is weird, but hey, however you want to play it.

I am professional neuroscientist. The inversion question is related purely to how you relate the controller to the screen. If you relate the surface with the button and stick as a flat surface to the flat surface of the screen then you probably don't invert but if you relate the controller on the basis of the joystick movement in three dimensions to the perceived depth in a game then you are likely to invert. In other words its about whether you perceive the screen as a 2D surface or a 3D emulation. The latter is usually related to higher IQ.
I think what game is used for testing makes a differnce. It always feels much more natural in a flying game because you know its for nose down and nose up. But when you're playing a fisrt person game i dont make that connection with the head movement as the head isnt visable, but your arms are. So you want to move your arms up.
Steven fry and Dara O Brian. Both have massive IQ and both massive gamers. Yet they both have said they can't play with inverted control. It's about what feels comfortable.

I can connect forward & up and back & down as similar, but forward & down and back & up doesn't sound right to me. Also, the word 'inverted' mean opposite from usual, so the usual way to play would be non-inverted. There might be a tactile element involved as well. When I move the analogue stick forward, I can feel the back of the stick rise on my thumb, making me think 'up', and vice versa.
In my opinion, FF7 is a franchise that has brought me so much joy, and I have loved every moment in that universe, but FF9 OG was a better FF entry than FF7 OG.
In shooting games I like do mix up my playstyle, I'm usually a run and gunner, but as soon as I'm using a sniper rifle, I like to find a spot to camp and use the rifle how it was intended, none of that quick-scoping while running etc. nonsense.
I'm with Rob on the stealth versus slaughter issue. Including the fact that occasionally it can be really cathartic to just let loose and go berserk on every NPC you can reach 😂
The horizontal/vertical argument for the PS5 is simple: stand it vertical, and over time it'll start overheating due to all the dust settling to the bottom of the console and clogging the power supply vent. Good times. 👍
Regarding the argument for Horizontal vs Vertical console placement, at least for the PS5 I have been told that the reason for Horizontal being ideal is to protect the CPU; the way they helped cool it I have been told at the Chip level is with a paste that as it heats up can shift and collect on one side, leaving part of the chip unprotected and risk damage. Not saying this is proven, just what I've heard.
I was non-inverted until FFXII came out and you couldn't change it. Well like 250 hours later of playing that game I've been inverted ever since on controller. PC I'm still regular.

Whether or not i prefer 1st or 3rd person depends on the game and my mood. On the camping subject, if I’m using a sniper rifle and I find a good spot I’ll hang out there until I’m forced to move. I don’t care what others say. Real life worked its way into my belief system on this point

The benefit of having a PS5 standing vertical is that you can add cool decals to both sides and see them without having to flip the device

The horizontal/vertical argument for the PS5 is simple: stand it vertical, and over time it'll start overheating due to all the dust settling to the bottom of the console and clogging the power supply vent. Good times. 👍

Regarding the argument for Horizontal vs Vertical console placement, at least for the PS5 I have been told that the reason for Horizontal being ideal is to protect the CPU; the way they helped cool it I have been told at the Chip level is with a paste that as it heats up can shift and collect on one side, leaving part of the chip unprotected and risk damage. Not saying this is proven, just what I've heard.

I was non-inverted until FFXII came out and you couldn't change it. Well like 250 hours later of playing that game I've been inverted ever since on controller. PC I'm still regular.

1rst person and 3rd depends on the game. Example: Skyrim 1rst Fallout 4 3rd. Don't know why but it works. Whatever makes it feel right for you.
Whether or not i prefer 1st or 3rd person depends on the game and my mood. On the camping subject, if I’m using a sniper rifle and I find a good spot I’ll hang out there until I’m forced to move. I don’t care what others say. Real life worked its way into my belief system on this point

I saw an interesting discussion about inverted controls and swiping on a phone (you swipe up to scroll down) at least for non gamers coming into gaming. For me, it's hard wired inverted because I played a ton of flight sims as a kid

Camping is very much NOT okay. I mean who wants to go out in the wilderness away from their video games for a whole weekend, meanwhile having to sleep in a colder than normal bed and eat less than ideal meals?
