  • A re-enactment battle in the hundred years' war between an army of french/flemish/burgundian forces led by king Charles VI of France vs an army of Flemish Ghent rebels led by Philip Van Artevelde, took place near Roosebeke or what is now called "westrozebeke", cinematic battle in total war medieval kingdoms 1212 ad/total war attila (modded).

    So Burgundy was a French ally, then changed side to the English before switched again. They did the Italian thing before "that" Italy even exist
    Also, I find the battle and the whole Caroline phase was very underrated. People wonder why the war(s) lasted for so long despite Crécy, Poitiers, ect.... Turned out after these defeats France managed to take back a lot of lands and won a lot of victories, however these story are far less famous than what the English longbowmen achieved in Crécy, Poitiers and later on Agincourt

      Burgundy was not a french ally, burgundy WAS ( and is) french.
