Good morning everyone THANK YOU for this history lesson for me. I'm from there born and raised, NORTHWEST WILDCATS. Before waking up and for some strange reason I seen 475. My mind said listen. I'm so glad I did, I hit 475 traveling. My mom's family get there years later. I live in Detroit, but a true FLINTSTONE. Man before seeing this I tried looking for history on Flint, Mi. Sometimes the only thing that would come up is the bad areas. Oh the other day the city council had beef going on. 🙏🏽 For this info, true story my history as well. ✊🏽 BOOM

My Great Grandparents from Galacia had a home on St John Street in the 1920s to 1950s. My Great Grandparents from Ireland originally lived a couple blocks off St John St on Alabama.

Interested to see if families were replaced or "displaced" from the "urban renewal" or is reparations at hand...

In August 2021, The City of Flint sold the former St. John Street community Center parcel. Half of the revenue from this sale is now being reinvested into the St. John Street Neighborhood Memorial Park. For those wishing to contribute to the St. John Memorial Park fund, go to cfgf.org/stjohnstreet.

These people had to move around the city and did not receive redress. They certainly have a justice claim.
