    Great video!! helped me install my aftermarket stereo in my 2007 Camry w/JBL system. I connected the CRUX adapter. but I realized the Camry had 3 white harnesses but the CRUX only had 2 white harness. My Steering wheel control isn't working but I did connect the 3.5 cable for the sterring wheel control so I'm wondering if that 3rd unconnected harness has anything to do with it. What do you think?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They won't be used with the Crux, not necessary. Just depends on what options the aftermarket harness adapter is providing you. The Pac version uses 3 or 4, but thats because it is providing more options. You will be fine with the Crux harness.

    • @ProvoBeastAudio

      No antenna adapter needed, OEM male Antenna plug fits aftermarket radios. Dual USB adapter isn't needed, just use a single one and connect it to the USB on the back of the radio. Dual USB was used where the second USB end was converted to a full-time charge with use of a 12v to 5v adapter. Single USB adapter: amzn.to/3gGHkms

    How are you getting the rear speakers to play if you didn't hook them wires up on the harness?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The factory JBL amplifier only takes in two channels of input, and uses those two channels for all speakers in the vehicle (fader is controlled in the amplifier, not at the radio). That is why you don't connect the rear speakers in our video as the amplifier doesn't use those channels at all to produce audio for the rear speakers in the vehicle. Again, this is only in the case if you have the JBL audio factory system.

I checked the instructions for the Crux and it says the following: For aftermarket radios that have wires for SWC connections, cut off the 3.5mm plug on the Crux SWC Cable and connect the SWC wires as follows:RED to SWC Key 1, WHITE to SWC Key 2, SHIELD to SWC Ground. Note that there are some radios that only have SWC1 and SWC2, in this case “shield” does not need to be connected.

    How much would it cost to have this done? Roughly

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well, we linked our parts used in the description which will show the price of parts. As for labor (if you don't do it yourself), that will vary depending on what shop you visit.

      @ProvoBeastAudio  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lots of variables there, depending on the shop, where you purchase equipment, labor, etc. If you buy from amazon, all parts we used are linked in the description. Labor (if done by a stereo shop) will vary place by place, and some shops require you to buy their parts to do the install.
