Actually quite true. The old greek gods were kinda like that, supposed to show the different archetypes for common people, like how Ares ist the god of war and...strangely enough...farming.

The subtle changes like how it goes from worst things to do to your spouse to worst things to do to a woman. Shows how the main cast in the basement is taking the show and twisting it in their own minds to reflect their own pessimism and then reaffirming it with the conversations about things that have happened in their life. I can not express how much of a work of art this is. From the well written dialogue, to the unsettling ambience. The humor didn't stick out like a sore thumb of someone trying to be funny, it was more of funny things happening in a failed attempt to lighting the overall darker mood of the video.

I’ve been watching this channel since 2021 when I was super depressed and would just get high in my room with the lights off and watch these. I didn’t really understand them, but they were something to watch since I was depressed. Now that I’m no longer depressed, I really don’t understand them. I was hoping that eventually I would know wtf was going on in these videos since everyone in the comments seems to think they’re all masterpieces, but after watching dozens of these in chronological order; I still don’t know what any of them are referencing or trying to point out. I guess there’s something wrong with me because I’m clearly missing something.

I’ve been finding myself becoming more pessimistic like Nathan as the years pass. Things I once saw value in are now lumps of worthless trash.
I would say that becoming very similar to him is impossible, but until a year or two, my rage and disappointment for everything has begun to boil over. I can’t even smile anymore, unless seen as a tactical advantage in discussion. The only value I see in people are their knowledge and skills. Otherwise, useless.

As someone over 50, I can tell you that's called growing older. When younger we are more idealistic. Then we have to interact with other people and we realize how f*cked everything is because people are nuts. This is how it's always been, fren. The key is to stop caring what other people think or do because we realize they're nuts. Then sit back and enjoy the ride. Godspeed.

@@LouisGilibertoI have this same mindset ever since I suffered bullying for taking care of myself and my parents always having violent discussions and fights amongst other shitty family things, and after a few years, I'm now 18 and watched Zero Calcare's "Tear Along the Dotted Line" and "This World Won't Take me Down", I am really trying to move away from this mindset because I don't want to feel like these people portrayed in the shows or videos, but reality is people will always behave this way, and I'm afraid I'll be this way, I have a girlfriend who loves me dearly, but I don't know how to love, neither mom and dad taught me that, and I barely do any acts of love, she's still with me for 3 years and I want to be better.
