Episode 3, "The Coptic Church played a miraculous role in preserving the heritage of the Coptic hymns, which was received from the Apostles at a time when NO recording machines were available, and before the existence of the musical notation science. That was accomplished through “Oral Tradition”, and for that objective,
the church appointed Cantors who were mostly blind but had a great ability to perform vocally - as the old pharaohs used to do - since they were gifted with a strong memory, remarkable capability of concentration

Great episode,
But I have a question,
Do we have a document.... Or any resource to knowledge the author of each Hymn , as we know for some of the Greek Hymns Were made by Romanos the melodist, other wise we have a minor knowledge on the Coptic Hymns ?

You know that our early fathers used to deny themselves, hiding behind Christ.
however we know some of those authers.
one of them is the Patriarch Athanasius the Apostole & Al Mo3alem Sarkees and Anba Mikhael Al Ma3ayergy who compose the Hymn APekran.
